PCOMFUN is a BINGO game like most others. To play, you mark each card (preferably with a bean or some non-permanent mark as we can use the cards for multiple games.) with the winner(s) being the person who:
1. Gets a string of numbers that are called and when plotted on their card, the numbers form a line that is either seven across, seven down, or seven diagonally. Here are two examples:
and
2. Posts the phrase PCOMFUN (or BINGO) in the topic (or topics) devoted to that day's game.
3. Includes in that post the UNIQUE PCOMFUN Serial number and the numbers on each corner of the winning card:
examples:
the
4. Game play will continue until at least five and possibly as many as ten players have reported completing PCOMFUN.
5. Pcom's staff will then note the time of each player's report (posting time is critical), pull up our copy of the winning card and verify the winner(s) including a check against premature PCOMFUN. If the game has five prizes, the first five to have a verified winning cards will be awarded the prizes, from top prize down, based on their posting time.
6. In the event of duplicate cards i.e. serial numbers are the same, only the first card reported will win and the second player reporting that card will be automatically disqualified (even if they have an actual duplicate card which should not happen as there are but 10,000 unique cards on 2500 play sheets each with its own unique number. Still someone could photocopy a card and play it and win if the original holder did not play or, due to printing error, two identical cards are possible.)
7. While there is no practical way to limit the number of cards that a single player (or family) may play, paulding.com will limit the number of games and/or prizes that a single player (registered pcom member or identity) to wins on no more than three different, distinct serialized cards.
8. There is no charge or fee to play. You must, however, be registered on paulding.com and have a user name and working email. Validating members may post and play but must complete the verification of their email address registration before being awarded a prize. You may register here: (click).
9. The purpose of PCOMFUN is provide a venue to talk about events and opportunities of interest to the community while having fun ... which is what PCOM is about anyway.
10. The game cards are reusable but only for a specific period of time. Each game series has its own PCOMFUN serial number. Each game will use a specific or particular card game set. Over time, new card sets will be distributed and old cards will become invalid. The announcer will define the card set used prior to the calling of any PCOMFUN game.
11. Paulding.com and its management is the sole judge as to the validity of any game card and may invalidate any card or entry and refuse to award any prize for any reason whatsoever. (Before you complain, know that if we really believe someone is cheating, we may not want to positively assert that they're a cheat as that may subject us to potential claims of libel. But by the same token, we would, in that circumstance, feel that awarding them the prize would end up rewarding bad behavior and in essence cheating others. So, we would simply, with a smile, assert that we decline to award the person the prize and leave it at that.)
12. It is possible that some members, thinking they can game the system, will call PCOMFUN falsely (claim to have won.). While we may simply disqualify the false win the first time or possibly two, repeated false claims of winning or a pattern of such false claims will result in bullets and ultimately permanent suspension, not just from the game, but from the site. If you can't post, you can't win!
We wanted to get these ground rules out there. If folks take the game in the spirit of having fun, it will be a lot of fun and a great way for folks to also get the word out about local events. We approach this effort positively and hope that all who play accept it for the fun game it is!
Thanks,
PUBBY
