If you're so trerribly frightened that someone might use your site to promote photography without paying the $100 or so for the "right" to do so, then disable pictures all together.

Never have I seen so much idiocity about people sharing pictures and whether or not someone is trying to get something for free.

Yep, I do. I am not fond of those who win SMALL, LOCAL competitions and suddenly think they are photographer of the year.

I wanted to set the record straight, after taking a step back away from the high emotions that I had running last night.

First off, my remark, it was a jab, and it was in jest. At the photography club I am in , most of us constantly joke with one another about who is the best. Sort of like rival football players...or any other 'rivalry'. I also made the remark because truthfully, I was ticked that I was put under the gun when it wasn't ME who start the original photo thread, that started this whole mess. GeeTee posted the thread because she was showing off the pictures I did, for FREE, for her family. She is one of my very good friends, I was at the hospital with her within hours of Wyatts birth..... I always take pictures for her. Someone took offense to that, turned me in for posting pictures without a commerce membership, yada yada.

So, again, I was a little ticked, and took a jab, a friendly rivalry jab. I never thought anyone would take me seriously...I mean come on....really, do I think I am the best photographer in the world? Hell no, I am not even the best in Paulding County, Mrs C holds that title, at least within our club Why Tabby would take it to such an extreeme is beyond me...the multiple postings, the multiple PM's and then starting 2 call out threads when I finally blocked her because I had had enough and could not be nice any longer.

Now, I understand Pubbys stance on this matter and hold no ill towards him at all. I do not want to be in the business of photography, as stated, I have no time to run a business....so therefor I do not want to purchase a commerce membership, though I had one in the past. So I will not be posting pictures on pcom any longer, unless I happen upon a news story and I am able to snaps some pics. I will also ask that anyone I take pictures for, not share those on here either. In my profile, there is a link to my flickr album, where I post a good many of my pictures, if anyone is ever interested then look there to see them.

And finally, let me say, anyone who knows me, really knows me, knows that I am far from arogant. I am the first one to dismiss my own work, the first one to cheer for 'the other guy' at our competitions. I am the first one to step up and help new photographers understand their cameras, I have written a guide on how to shoot in manual mode and have shared it with tons of other photographers. I am amazed everytime I win a competition, and wonder to myself how in the world I am able to compete with these great photogs.

I hope that clears everything up. I will be anxiously looking forward to seeing the work posted by the other great photogs here on the board
