On offense, the Gators have made a move to make up for the loss of No. 3 quarterback Cameron Newton, who was been suspended indefinitely after his arrest for theft last week. Punter Chase Henry is now the third-team quarterback, while wide receiver Percy Harvin also is taking some shotgun snaps this week.

"Chas Henry is meeting with the quarterbacks full time now," Meyer said. "And (Sunday) at practice, Percy took some direct snaps. We have very little throw game with Percy at quarterback."

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Henry was a three-year starting quarterback at East Paulding High School in Dallas, Ga., where he threw for more than 1,700 yards his junior season.

"He's an excellent quarterback, a very functional player," Meyer said. "He's a very smart, very competitive player. I love him. He's a tremendous player."

What an accomplishment for this talented young man!!! We are very proud for you Chas and I hope we get to see you sometime soon in the quarterback position.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Bless his heart, Florida has not given him the opportunity to punt very often. (That is meant as a compliment to FL!)
But, when he does, I am always proud to see him!!!!!

I wonder if he is still punting or if he is in the QB world only for the rest of the season?

He is still punting, its just for if the top 2 QB's go down which isn't likely. He will never see the field at QB. Chas will be an NFL punter soon, kid has a great leg.

Awww I've know Chas since he was about 3 years old. I know his mom and dad are proud, what a great kid!!!
