I eat 2 meals a day.
I walk everyday except Friday & Saturday.
I do sit ups (25) every nite.
I run up and down the basement steps 5 times in the mornings.

I lost 24 pounds last month. Have not weighed this month.

I am a BAD snacker so since I had the baby I have cut back most of my snacks to much smaller portions etc...I am gonna have to wean myself to get to eating 3 or 4 meals a day vs. snacking 24/7.

I hope to start walking a couple days a week.

That is great... I have only lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks, I have come to realize the older you are the harder it is to loose weight LOL

how much weight do you want to loose? or is that to personal? LOL

Hubby and I usaully walk in the afternoons, I do not exercise on weekends unless I am just bored...

so what do you eat?

I am not a breakfast person....

for lunch I very rarely eat lunch
for supper I eat a salad and try to eat some kind of protein..

I always eat before 6pm... so that I can work it off before I go to bed LOL

I eat between 1400 - 1900 calories a day if I exercise for at least 30 minutes. If no exercise I only eat about 1200. I never eat after dinner and eat whatever I want. I don't cut out food groups. I also make sure I always eat breakfast.

For exercise..I make sure I do AB work each day and some kind of aerobics 5-7 times a week. I try to lift light weights at least 2 times a week. But to be honest I get lazy with it.

When it is impossible for me to know how many calories are in a meal..Like when I am eating out. I stop eating when I am still a little hungry.

Oh and the way to tell how many calories you need.

Go by how much you want to weigh. If you never exercise X it by 10

Week end only X it by 12

Exercise 5 - 7 times a week X 15

I haven't done much of anything. I have done a few walks and some swimming. Next week I start Boot Camp in the Park (Logan Farm Park in Acworth) for 6 weeks, two times a week. I'm hoping that this will help get me motivated again. I need to lose 30 lbs. dry.gif

I take zumba, step, yoga, pilates, spin. I run, jump rope, weight train ( been slacking, but got back at it), walk. I used to take alot of kickboxing and will again when they get an instructor that I like. I do different things on different days, and I go everyday. There is always at least 2 days that I can't go or don't want to. If I set a schedule, it is a recipe for disaster according to what I see with others and myself. If something happens and you can't go on your scheduled day, you have a tendency not to make it up or wait until the next scheduled day. Just go everyday and then when you can't, it's not a disaster.

Monday - 1 hour spin class, abs.
Tuesday - That was today, I did Zumba, 1100 jump ropes and legs.
Wednesday- I plan to run, and do back and biceps.

So on and so forth... through the week with different stuff.

Do try to eat healthy. Not alot of sugar and starches. Just remember, calories count, and it doesn't really matter what kind of calories they are, if you burn more than you take in, you will lose weight. You can have a Snickers for breakfast, but you have to consider that kills your calories until lunch and the sugar and small volume of the bar will have you starving by 10:30.
RIP Gordon, you can safely buy green bananas again.

Lady,

I don't eat breakfast. Never been a breakfast eater. I eat Healthy Choice for lunch (I'm not supposed to eat frozen dinners due to High Blood Pressure). Supper I eat Chicken. I try different ways to cook it. I try real hard not to eat out. That is where it CAN hurt you if you let it.

all I can say is I've tried everything and finally find something I like it's BARRY"S BOOTCAMP its on tv and he gives 30 day workout plan with all of the exercises each week it increases, each exercise is 1 minute you start at 20 minute workout one day upper one day lower. I've been on it 2 weeks and what a difference already. He even gives you measuring tape to measure yourself the 1st day and then on the 30th day. So far so good it's the first one that has actually has helped me. yahoo.gif

SIZE 4 ohmy.gif I could never be that. I would be way too skinny.

I just want to be an 8!

For my build I'm supposed to weigh b/t 130-150! I'm a big boned Paulding County Gal! I give all the credit to my grandmother wink.gif at least I stopped growing at 5'6 she went on to 6'0 My mother always was a size 0 till she hit 30.

I know, I got carried away on that diet, I lost 130 pounds in 7 months.... I do not have that much weight to loose now, I just want to loos back down to a 10, I would be happy, or maybe an 8...

I am 5'9 so yeah you can imgaine what I looked like at size 4.... but I worked hard to get there,, and once I got there I did not like it..LOL

Dang girl an't there an easier way LOL

I will try that, and see how that goes..

If you don't want to count calories just don't eat after dinner and go to bed a little bit hungry. You will lose weight that way too.

I'm a size 8 and have been since HS..To bad a size 8 nowadays is really probablly a size 12. Trust me on this one. They keep making the clothes bigger but putting the same size on it. rolleyes.gif

for some reason I can not get this websit....

is it an exericse or dancing?

I saved it, so maybe I can get it in a while...

It's a fusion dance class. Salsa, Brazilian Samba, African, Hip hop, and they are fused together or done seperately. Here is a youtube. It is alot of fun, like almost too much fun. This is a routine we learned about a year ago. I think this was filmed at some dance studio up north.

RIP Gordon, you can safely buy green bananas again.

I do, I used to take classes. I have some of the hip skirts with all the beads and jingly things on them. Zumba does alot of hip circles and body rolls, some of the moves are quite similar, but not proper form for true belly dancing.

I lost about 70 lbs about 4 yrs ago. Now I have almost put it all back on and I am so mad about it. I felt so much better when I was smaller and I know that it is alot healthier.
Lady Raider---I am 5'8" and I lost down to a size 8---I had people telling me that I looked sick. I was just so amazed that I could get down that far. Had it not been for my stomach (which I will never loose completely--3 kids back to back and a hystorectomy--muscles are gone!!), I could have gotten into a 6. The 8's were baggy in the seat.
I laugh and tell folks that I have had big boobs and a big butt and little boobs and no butt---and I will take the little boobs and no butt anyday!!

I still had a belly when I lost 90 lbs 9 years ago. The only way I would get rid of it was to have liposuction. I looked into it but it was not worth it just to go down one more size.
