Ha good thing they chickened out on the Big Battle of Dallas this year.
Just kidding.. All the schools have their years..
Final score.. 10-7..
Of course.. Raiders win!
Yes, they do. When my daughter was at EPHS they didn't win a single game.......PERIOD.
Now my son is at PCHS and they don't do good.

Please think of those football players that work hard and play their hearts out when you make those statements.
Congrats Raiders!!

Congrats Raiders!!
Notice.. that's why I put "Just kidding.. all schools have their years."
I know Paulding has made it to the Playoffs as well as East.
I give them credit.
Its just that East is my school.. ya know?
And it's all a little rivalry game.. it's football..
Sorry for offending anyone.

I have sat through many a game at various stadiums where EPHS was handed their butts on a silver platter when there was plenty of talent and zero coaching going on! We were always good sports about it .
EPHS fans need to remember where our school came from and the odds they have beaten in the last few years. Above all, they need to learn to be sportmen in defeat and humble in victory. I foresee the parents and players not being able to handle defeat when it comes a knocking and being totally blown out of the water by it.... eventually defeat will come so they need to be humble right now while they are winning! Just the opinion of a parent who had 2 athletes ( one of which lettered in 5 sports and the other that received a scholarship and had 3 varsity letters by the end of his Frosh. yr.) graduate from EPHS. Be humble!!
Hell Cried..... "AIRBORNE!!"

This season will be a tough one no doubt about it,when the dust clears we will be there. Last night I watched just a small portion of the game. They looked good very tight and they have a good team so did Rome.It was close but the Raiders won,now for the rest of you why don't you come on out to the bone yard and be part of the Raider Nation. You will feel the excitement in the air

Met some very nice p.commers sitting around us too!
It took its tole on my feet...we had to park across and down the street from the school. Between that and the stairs, I'm off my feet today.

I was underwhelmed with the Raider Brigade last night. I thought last years program was much better. Song selection and choreography is what I'm talking about. The kids played great.
I also noticed they did not play very much during the game. Last year they played alot more and it worked to help pump the crowd. Perhaps they'll do more next game.

My daughter is in the band and yes they all feel this year's program is not up to the level of last year. However, with that being said they still haven't completed their show. I am sure there will be adjustments along the way. They have less in number this year but they still have a great sound. I probably sound like an old man but I can do without the props. But, props are what help to win competitons now.
Last year's program was so full of energy. A very high bar to reach this year.
Go Raider football and Raider Brigade!!

My husband was on the chain crew, he said it was not a lateral. In fact the rome guys commentating on the game said it was an incomplete pass, not a lateral.

I think they will play more at the rest of the games. The first game is always so hot, still daylight for a good part of the game & those uniforms are very hot. As for the show it takes a long time to put a show together & now they have two weeks until the next game to finish it and polish it.

Actually, not 'all' band members feel that way. How about a little bit of support and enthusiasm for the kids?!
BTW, sorry you're not so keen on the props, but my husband, the director and president spent 2 days (in 95 degree heat) building them, so I'd rather see some appreciation instead of bashing.
Good luck Raider Brigade and Raider football!

Nothing but enthusiasm and support for the kids.
Perhaps you should work on your reading comprehension. If you'll reread the post it was said they played great. If you'll reread the posts you'll see that no one bashed anyone, it was just said that it was thought that last years program was hard to top, and that they did not play as much during the game as they did last year. And, that he wasn't too keen on props. How is that bashing?
A tad over sensitive aren't we?
I'm sure they'll be fine. They were great last year and they'll certainly be as good this year.

I guess if this is the enthusiasm and support you exhibit for the band, I'd hate to see your criticism.
To each his own re: the props, but like I said, a lot of work went into them.
My reading comprehension is just fine.

We are all looking forward to a great year this year. If you noticed, Rome did not do an entire show either. It always takes a few weeks to learn everything and then they will start fine tuning it.
