Sorry folks, but the game will be at Thomas County. The GHSA rules require a certain amount of permanent seating for playoff games and Thomas County has it, EPHS does not...so the game goes to Thomas County. It will be next Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 down on the Ga/Fla. line ( I think that is where Thomas County is, a 5 1/2 hour drive)!

Oh yeah... That's down around where my husband and I are from (Tifton). We used to play them all the time when we were in school. Should be a GREAT game.

Last year, EPHS rented "permanent" bleachers that satisfied the rule. I guess they can do it this year. I thought they were buying them last year in expectation of this happening again but for some reason, they did not. They spent almost enough money renting them to buy them.
I was told that ThpmasCentral was about half way between Macon and Valdosta. Who pays for the charter buses that the team and band need for the trip. A lot of money is made from the play-off games and I thought that the GHSA had to pay some of the travel expenses.

It is my understanding that the school has been talking to GHSA all week about the bleacher problem. GHSA would not consider the bleachers we used last year as "permanant"{by the way it was going to cost an additional $25,000 to keep the bleachers last year}., therfore because Thomas County had seating capacity to host the game we must go there. About the money you make in play offs--- actually the visiting team makes the most. GHSA gets their money off the top. Then it is divided by the schools, however out of the hosting schools half you have to pay all expenses{security, refs,and the travel expenses of the other team}. There is very little money left after that. When you make it to the Dome you do actually make money. We would have loved to play at the Bone Yard and I know Mr. Kuss and Mr. Musgrove tried to make it happen. Our boys are up to the challenge of "taking it to TCC in their own House"... GO RAIDERS

I still haven't heard about the condition of the Mays player that was taken away. I sent an email to thier AD but haven't had a reply. BTW, I thought it was a little rude and wierd their band played to the visitor side during halftime. I had never seen that before.
