My favorite books are Nicholas Sparks books and I have read them all. I just finished up "Dear John" and loved it. I need another good book, does anyone have any recommendations for something that may be similar to the Nicholas Sparks books that I love so dearly?

I love his books too...have you read anything by Jane Green? They are British Chick Lit books but they are very good.

You've read ALL of his books? Try James Patterson's "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" or "Sam's Letters to Jennifer"---they are similar.

Have you read The Memory Keeper's Daughter? That's good. And there's another one I read lately but I can't remember who wrote it...it's called Me & Emma. It's got a good twist at the end.

My all-time favorite book is Bag of Bones by Stephen King. Not as scary as his others, but an AWESOME story.

Thanks! I have read both of those James Patterson books too, and loved them. Yep, I have read all of Nicholas Sparks books. I run right out and buy his books as soon as they come out. I don't always get to read them right away though. Oh, I haven't read the one about him and his brother, but I didn't think that one would interest me very much.

That book was single handedly responsible for months of sleepless nights when I was in college.

They also made a movie of that book, and I was still so 'traumatized' from reading it that I would never watch the preview of the movie because I didn't want to put a face with Vess's character.

Only recently did I discover that the actor who played Vess is John C. McGinley, who has long been a favorite actor of mine.

Stunning pieces of trivia that I'm sure you can complete your life with laugh.gif

And, as far as a good book, I recommend "Bitter is the New Black" by Jenn Lancaster.

read Eddie's Bastard. It's a story about a grandfather raising his abandoned grandson.

The divide is good it is by the guy who writes a lot of books like Nicholas Sparks, i think his first nameis Nicholas also. Dorothea Benton Franks are good they are set in the lowcountry of S. Carolina, I love her books. Real page turners. Also Mary kay Andrews books are good.

Marley and Me

I'm reading it now.

It's about a dog that has a real hard time being trained.

It is really a cute book for dog lovers.

OK. So I just finished another book that I picked up at Wally World. It was an Anita Shreve book called Light on Snow. It was OK but kind of slow. I need something else. Something better. Hit me with more suggestions. I am going to take a look on Amazon to find some of the ones already suggested above.

I am really in the mood to read! I've found out that it really relaxes me before going to sleep at night.

Thanks!

I really like Robert Morgan. He has several books Gap Creek, This Rock, Blue Valleys

I like his writing ~ from turn of the century. Really makes you feel like you are there.
