most bus drivers will stop, and at least blow the horn, then you have those that do not stop, it is up to the indivual driver to mkae that descison,
i know they say have the kids at the bus stop and have them ready, but like in my case, the bus never comes at the same time, so there the child is standing out at the bus stop for 20 to 30 minutes before the bus actually comes.
ask the bus driver to please stop and blow the horn, if the child is not out there, especailly if it is raining, it use to be the bus driver had to stop and wait for 2 minutes for the child to get to the bus stop, but i do not think they go by that any more,
like i said it is mostly up to the drivers now, and i know that someone will probalay come back with a post saying have your child ready at the bus stop, the drivers do not have time to wait, but my answer to that is , that is a 2 way street, if the child is out at the bus stop ready when they are told to be there, then the bus needs to be on time and not have different times to come by.
but talk to the driver maybe they will help you out on that situation.

Thanks for responding lady raider. I will only be keeping this child for another
week or so, so it really doesn't matter to me. I just thought they were suppose
to at least stop and make sure no one is getting on.
This situation was really funny. I am keeping my neice's daughter (whatever
relation that is to me, I don't feel like figuring it out right now.
). Anyway,
we were waiting on the bus, so I figured I had time to take my gargabe can
back to the house. I told the child to stay there until I got back, (about 100 ft.
away.) When I turned back around to go back to the end of the driveway, there
she was behind me. I laughed and told her she better go back in case the
bus came, then all of a sudden here she comes up the road, just flying. I
thought it was funny, but Candice wasn't laughing. Good thing her bus makes
a circle and comes back around. I guess next time she will stay where I tell
her.
Just had to tell you this funny story.
