If you have a 6th grader at Dobbins Middle School and would like for them to play on the 6th grade community basketball team for Dobbins in the 3rd Annual South Paulding Middle School Community 6th Grade Basketball League. The try outs will be Monday November 6th at 8:00 PM at the Dobbins Middle School gym for the boys and girls, and again, this is a try out and there may be another try out at a later date if need to be.

THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL TEAM, this is a fundraiser for South Paulding Middle that each Middle school in the county has supported in the past by allowing a team to practice out of each of the school gym's, that is coached by a "Community Coach" and not by any teacher or coach from any middle school. This is strictly a community effort in hopes of getting these kids together a year earlier in a school atmosphere and to promote good sportsmanship, as well as raise money SPMS (I'm not sure if this fundraiser is for the PTA or what)

For more information on the South Paulding Middle School Community 6th Grade Basketball League, you can call Jack Daniel (Director and Founder) at (cell) 678-427-2691 or (home) 770-445-5433.

If you need info. for the Dobbins Community team, call Kenny Driskell at (home)770-443-1775 or (cell) 770-714-8269.

Dobbins will need a few coaches for the boys and girls team, Dobbins will need a new Director starting next year as Kenny's daughter will be moving on to high school. The director will be responsible of get things going for the 6th grade teams with flyers and get gym times through the school and making sure each team has coaches and coach a team if need to or want to. If interested please talk with Kenny at the above number.

If you have already signed up with the Rec. Department, in the past the Rec. Dept has given your money back so that you can participant in the 6th grade league, I'm not sure if they still do that or not, so check with the Rec. Dept and/or Jack Daniel.
