From Saturday, Sept 16th:

HJMS defeats Moses Middle School.

Kudos to the HJMS coaches. Your players were well disciplined and well represented your school. I totally appreciated that during 5th quarter play, your players remained in uniform and took a knee on the sideline to watch their teammates play. They showed much respect to the fifth quarter players and their families. Kudos to you!!

Anyone know the South / Austin game results?

Guinevere I agree with you (OMG did I just say that) on HJMS 5th quarter representation. I was very impressed with the TEAM remaining a TEAM even during the 5th quarter. The players who played the 5th quarter did not remove their equipment and run up and down the sidelines having water fights ect. I was very disappointed in the Moses football players during 5th quarter. It looked very much out of control and unsupervised. But of course that is just my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. The Jones kids get a bad rap but they are obviously more discipline than some of the other schools. How disrespectful for the kids on the Moses team to take off their gear and wander up and down the sidlines like that.
Coach Napier does a great job and is a good man. I am glad my son plays for him.
During the 5th quarter all the Jones boys are in full gear, helmets on, cheering on the 5th quarter guys.
I am proud to say my kid is a HJMS TIGER.

Next weeks matchup should be good to watch:

Both undefeated teams South vs HJMS will be playing. I don't think HJMS has been scored on this season. Great Defense!!!

If Dobbins defeats Austin (as they did in preseason, the could go to the playoffs, knocking out Moses?).

And the first time Moses and East played the game went into overtime. Moses scored with 1 tick of the clock remaining the the game.

Very good match ups!!! Should be some exciting football this Satuday!
