Deerslayer gave us a bit of pleasure with this link:
LINK to off-site location in a recent forum post.

What is special about it is that it provided a little fun and enjoyment.

How Deerslayer got the link, I don't know. The publisher says he didn't know where the content came from either.

Still, if one were to put a hit counter on that page, you'd probably find it generating in multiple of thousands of hits as people share the page through email and other informal networks.

Why I posted this in the business/marketing idea area is that something as simple as this can be be a great way to advertise a product or service and the advertisement need be only something akin to a sponsorhip... A "this little bit of levity brought to you by .... " ... not a hard sell situation but rather a soft-sell opportunity.

Indeed, a popup ad or some other effort other than the most subtle mention would ruin the offering ... or in other words, kill the viral interest in passing along the link.

The reason this 'viral' presentation works is because it is obviously 'non-commercial' ... that's in part why people pass it along.

The business/marketing lesson to be gained is that viral marketing is exceptionally effective -- we're seeing this page here -- but also fragile. Too big a dose of commercial content will kill it.
