I suppose you have allready read : The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice
I think there is 3 of them. I read them years ago.

Lynsay Sands has a Wonderful vampire Series - only there is a "twist" to the typical vampire story - not bloodsucking demons!!!

Read Children of the Night. I opened it and read it cover to cover without stopping. It was great! It was more like a story with a scientific explanation of these vampires, rather than sci-fi turning to bats and stuff.

You cant lose with Anne Rice. She is great. I have quite a few of her books. If you might be interested send me a PM. I think I have a few more but I'm not sure. I am an avid book reader.

I'v done the Anne Rice thing and the other "staples" I guess you would call them, but I am obsessed!

froggy can probably give you a bunch of ideas---PM him. He reads those a lot as well as the mytery type of James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell and Margaret Weiss/Tracy Hickman (sci-fi)

a friend of mine swears by the Laurell K Hamilton books - "bloody bones" is one of them..
i haven't read a vampire book in ages

I'm reading a really interesting book right now that might interest you .... "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova .... about a lady researching what happened with father's search for Dracula. Really interesting!

Well first and foremost Lysnsay Sands is a Romance Writer so there will be smutt and she is hilarious so it's funny smutt
But basically it's a story of a Vampire family who finally find love. Her take on vampires is that they are a "higher" race of people from the City of Atlantis. They created "nanos" that are injected in the blood stream and then "fix" all problems in the body. I love Anita Blake stories! Guilty Pleasures was the last I read! EXCELLENT!

I read ALOT of vampire novels while working at B&N. I made it through the first few of the Anne Rice series, but it lost me with Queen of the Damned.
L.A. Banks has a bestselling series - I haven't read it, but it flew off of the shelves there.
Laurel Hamilton is fantastic - that one was also a big seller.
The Twilight Series flew off of the shelves also, but it was more of a teen crowd rather than adults (it's in the Teen section, actually)
There's another really good series that I actually own, but a friend has them. I can't remember the name or the author (
), but I read the entire series in two days. I'll see if I can figure out what it was.
Oh....this made me miss working at B&N.

I'm kinda new to posting on Paulding.com but not new to how it works (Denise w/ Gorga Monkey's is my mom & bus partner). However, when it comes to topics regaurding books I love it.
Check out the Nora Roberts series called "Circle Trilogy" I loved it.
1st book - Morrigan's cross
2nd book - Dance of the Gods
3rd book - Valley of Silence

I love Anne Rice.. she also has a set of books that are about witches that I loved! The Witching Hour is the first one of that set. When I finished that book, I went right out that minute and purchased the next one!!! I think there are 3 in the set. Of course there is Interview with a Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, etc., they are great books, the movies did not do them justice and left out a lot that was in the books.
