I'm blessed to have such an adorable child and an ex-MIL that doesn't fall in to the "typical ex-MIL" category.

My son's grandma on his dad's side of the family sent me a photo album full of pictures she had taken of him when he was little. I've looked through it probably ten times since I got it and I almost cry when I see such sweet pictures of my baby. He is bigger than me now, but he is still very cute and is still sweet most of the time. I can't think of anything anyone could have given me that would have meant more to me than these pictures

That's a nice gift, and with much love and thought behind it!
Those are the best ones!

I have in-laws like that and it works so much better. I did that for his grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and she thanks me every time she sees me. That was over 5 years ago.
Use your time wisely, it is not something you can ever get more of.

I did that for my husband last year. His mother gave me a bunch of pictures of my husband as he was growing up. I started with the day he was born and ended about the time that we met. So it is his life up until we got together.
He loved it.
