It did get a little heated....biggest complaint is consistency with the umps!! Every game, same thing!!

THE LAST TIME WE HAD THAT GUY IN THE FIELD, THE HOME PLATE UMPIRE HAD TO TELL HIM WHAT POSITION TO GET IN TO MAKE A CALL!!!

Fightn we had the same thing happen at Tuesday nights game. Play at third the field ump was right on top of the play he stood there with a DUMB founded look on his face then points to the homeplate ump for the call (not 1 time but 3 at the same base). I have seen some these umpires call in the travel leagues and believe me they make no better calls out there! As far as the strike zones are concerned they have been this way all year (ALL OVER THE PLACE) maybe if these guy's were to sit and actually catch a fastpitch pitcher they might gain a little respect for corner pitches (NOT WERE THE CATCHER CATCHES THE BALL BUT WERE IT CROSS THE BATTER ON THE PLATE). But until this happens I guess they will keep guessing at what a STRIKE ZONE should be.

If so, maybe the county should 'fatten the pay' a bit!! Might get a better called game!

I think the county has a contract with a group for umping. In my opinion, that group needs to be fired. Several games this year have started 30 minutes late waiting for the officials to arrive. Something needs to be done because this guy really stink!

Well, I like the times that they are there, but hang out in the parking lot talking while at the same time delaying the game!

And, good lord don't even ask them when the game is gonna get started.....they are edgy when that is asked!

On an illegal pitch anyone that is on base should advance. But I guess this would really depend on what you are calling an "ILLEGAL PITCH"?????????

It was ruled as an illegal pitch .... which it definatly was. The runner should have advanced. The umps dont have a clue.

That is the most ridiculous statement I have read here. Usually better performance earns better pay not the other way around like you suggest. Do you get a pay raise at work when your performance sucks?

There is a reason some of these guys never seem to move up and get to call games at a higher level. Maybe it is because they REFUSE to learn from their mistakes.

BTW: The old man has got to go..... Just my .02 worth.

Thats not what I asked. Was she called for crow hopping or did the pitcher not put her hands together and seperate before her motion to the plate? Or did she not take her sign from behind the pitching rubber? So what was the call there are alot of illegal pitches that can be called.

Blasted....The pitcher started her motion, came off the rubber, stopped and went back to the rubber. The originall question wasnt if it was illegal or not, it was if the runners should advance.
