Awesome,
Thank you. I dont know why, but I always feel sad when I see Coca Cola Wall paintings faded and going away. I feel like all of those signs are history and should be repaired. But I almost wouldn't want it to be freshly bright and crisp, but painted new and look vintage if that makes sense.

Are you willing to pay the licensing fees to Coca-Cola Inc. for the rights to repaint the sign?
Yup, you can't just go "touch it up" without someone at Coke getting paid these days.
In the past Coke paid to have these signs painted all over the south, these days you have the pay them for the "RIGHT" to have the sign, old fading signs are grandfathered in as they are, new signs must be licensed and approved via corporate.
ETA: Also not to mention before you touch it you need to have lead testing done on the paint, and if it does contain lead the entire sign would need to be removed from the building before anyone could do anything.

I remember when if you owned it, you do what you want with it.

The Cocoa Cola Company, itself, may be interested in helping in such an endeavor

Well aren't you just a party pooper. I think they may be willing to grant license to have it touched up. I would be willing to look into it.

I did some internet digging and discovered if the sign is original to the building and still is visible, you may indeed have it repainted/touched-up legally with the blessings of the Coca-Cola Co. historians.
What I had been thinking of was a story where an old building had one originally and later on in the 70's the building was given a make-over that obliterated the sign, and the next owners discovering the building had originally a coke sign on it, paid to have a NEW vintage sign painted onto it and had to license it after the fact.
So yes, you could indeed contact the owners, and also I'd suggest Cokes historical preservation department and inquire about the restoration. The old paint may have to be tested for lead first and sealed over before it could be painted though.

Awesome. Thank you so much. I will try and reach out for the Coopers when I get a chance and see what their thoughts on it are.
