Just wanted to say a big thank you to Tender Loving Pet Grooming & Boarding for taking our dogs on short notice when we were leaving for vacation!

The boarder I had made special arrangements with to drop off at 8am on Sunday morning DIDN'T SHOW UP leaving us high and dry, heading out of town, and no one to watch our two dogs that we love so very much.
Good thing we didn't have a flight to catch!

Luke at Tender Loving, was so kind and sweet and just awesome!
The facility is great and we are comfortable that our dogs are being well taken care of when not with us.

Thank you Luke!! I will sing your praises and recommend you to every one I know!
The OTHER place, will NOT be getting our business EVER again.

She finally called and didn't even apologize!
Said they had us down for yesterday!
I told her she better get with her husband because I just spoke to him Monday to arrange this and he told me it wouldn't be an issue because he goes there before church anyway.
I told him I would be there at 8am and I was but he was no show!
I will NEVER use this place again or recommend them to anyone.

Snap!

We used them after the tornado, had to have a place for a friends cat to stay for a few days. once I figured out who they were and how I knew them.....I felt guilty as crap for leaving the cat there. Well, the cat didn't really stay there....they took him home with them. Which just compounded my guilty feelings....

He finally called to apologize.
In his own words, he didn't call yesterday because he'd never written down my number!!
I don't think he even remembered talking to me Monday!
offered me a free week of boarding but theres no way I'd feel comfortable leaving me girls there now.
I'm much happier with them at Luke's.
I told him good luck but he had lost us as a customer.

I wonder what happened? I just checked the commerce section and the only place listed under pets is The Paulding Human Society. (I was trying to figure out who you had used that was a no-show). Maybe they weren't up to date on their memberships and it wasn't realized until today.

Thanks for posting this!

I was on the iPad and couldn't link to it.
They are listed on their profile as Group:+PC BIZ Member.

I'm aware of the rule about using only commerce members name in a topic title and posting contact information, so I went to Tender Loving Pet's profile to check before I made my post.

I don't think the commerce directory is anything close to being accurate. I know several businesses who are current members and post regularly but are not listed in the directory. Maybe Tender Loving Pet Grooming didn't renew their biz membership but haven't been removed as a member?

I wish you would let us in on who stood you up, too, Bloniega1 and Papi!

I don't want to run the place down.
I meant this thread to be props to Tender Loving Pet Resort for taking my girls on short notice and being so kind and loving.
He even sent me a FB message saying how good the girls were doing tonight and how much they were enjoying them being there.
I thought that was super awesome and way over the call of duty!!
Luke will have my business from now on!

Did you get them a room with a TV and VCR? I love the Disney room, Luke takes his borders very seriously and he loves animals.

When we had Hanson put to sleep a few weeks ago, he was the one I called hysterical because I didn't know what to do. He called Dr. Leathers at New Hope Animal Hospital, set up the appt, and called me right back and offered to come and go with me. We had him cremated and Luke wants some of his ashes to put at the shop. I love Luke!

It was me who made this mistake, and I am very very very sorry. It was completely my fault. I apparently entered the drop off on the wrong date on the schedule. We are closed on Sundays, but I generally make an exception and schedule drop offs and pick-ups by appointment since we are here anyways. My wife left before 8 because I failed to enter Daisy and CoCo on the schedule for the correct day. I am sincerely sorry. I know that my mistake caused your vacation to start off the wrong way. I am deeply sorry for that! I can't say that enough. I'm so sorry. I hope your vacation makes up for it, and I think Luke and Tender Loving is a wonderful place as well. Again...I am so very sorry.~ Sean
