Anyone know if the Folks in Hiram is closed or having other problems? Just curious as their phone was busy all day yesterday and is again busy this morning.

Don't go to the one in Douglasville, we ate there a couple of weeks ago and the food was awful!!! I doubt very seriously that we will go back to either one, again.

I gave up on Folks too because of the one in D'ville. Once they moved down on the Blvd the food was absolutely terrible. But I've given Hiram a chance and found that it's much closer to the old Folk's food.
Think it has something to do with volume at any of them. Their food doesn't seem to keep well. If you go in later in the afternoon for lunch, the stuff you know they make ahead of time has a stalish taste to it. Could just be my imagination though.

I hate that they changed the name.
It will always be Po' Folks to me!

ME TOO. And, that was when the food was really good. Back in the 80's we would drive from Heflin, AL to Douglasville just to eat at Po' Folks.
