President Barack Obama visted Atlanta on Tuesday to attend fundraisers for his re-election campaign, his second visit this year. After lunching at the Varisty and attending a fundraiser at the Westin Peachtree-Plaza, Obama reportedly will also make a stop at the set of a movie filming this week in Midtown and Inman Park, before departing Tuesday afternoon.

umm..I wasn't exactly referring to the food. The flight, secret service, etc. is what I was referring to. Although, I'm sure he's not as concerned about that stuff as he is about getting re-elected. He needs 4 more years so that he can take multiple vacations, play golf, and ignore the problems that are important to Americans.

You have a point there. I was thinking more of the folks who thought they were going to get a quick bite for lunch that were otherwise delayed because Obama didn't just send someone to pick up his meal.
It sounds like he got his order 'to go' so the impact wasn't as bad as it could have been.
It applies to any president who needlessly inconveniences the general public.

Most likely so he didn't have to actually eat it.

This President landed at Dobbins today. I just saw Air Force One coming off the end of the runway about 1,000 feet above Powers Ferry Road. If that don't make you proud to be an American then truck you. You shouldn't be in this country.

I saw the SR-71 land the last time at Dobbins. But Air Force One got me all patriotic. Gave me an understanding of the meaning of "respect for the office". Doesn't really matter who was riding shotgun, that is OUR airplane.

What difference does that make?
I can't believe my Georgia friends
You might be a Red Neck if you get thrown out of your house, and you say, "What Difference Does That Make?"
You might be a Red Neck if Billy gets an "F" on his report card, and you think "F" means "FINE."

Because of where the enterance to our condo complex was located, when the Pres was coming in or leaving, they would station a guard with a automatic rifle at our entrance and we could not leave.
I was late for work a few times because of this.
Makes a heck of an excuse, an armed guard wouldn't let me leave, he said the Pres told him to do it.

The plane, SAM 28000 or SAM 29000 may have landed at Dobbins AFTER the president departed from
it at Hartsfield for safe keeping on a secure military installation.
When the president fly's, there are always 2 aircraft in the air, both are identical to each other.
Very few people know which one has the president aboard.
The one you saw land a Dobbin's could have been a decoy plane or it could have been sent there for security
after he departed at Hartsfield.
The plane is only Air Force One while he is aboard. Any other time, it's SAM 28000 or SAM 29000, depending
on which physical plane it is.

Yep, I'm sure it was the backup. Regardless, it is a beautiful airplane.
One of Hartsfield's runways is 2,390 feet longer than the 10,000 feet at Dobbins. With the 747s I wonder if this extra safety factor had anything to do with AF1 landing at Hartsfield instead of Dobbins.
