from person to person. The guy above didn't say anything bad just being honest. Some people said they preferred Facebook now.
Went to check on it when I came home from work and it does seem to have disappeared.

~PMS with ADHD & possibly even a touch of Tourette Syndrome thrown in for good measure~.
Not making light of anyone's medical issues, so no need to accuse me of being an insensitive 8!+(#. It's just my perception of about 80% of what I see posted on the internet.
And that goes double for FB.

The mods are more sensitive about the criticism that comes their way than I am.
What people don't realize is how much of a phenomenon we were back when... and how we really are pretty much holding our own.
The big difference is that in the old days, we had 15,000 absolute unique visitors who viewed an average of 25 pages a visit whereas today we have 42,000 absolute unique visitors who view an average 8.5 page per visit. The other key metric - visits - has been remarkably consistent as we now average about 140,000 instead of a 160,000 visits per month.
This is really quite good, IMO, given there is also a lot more competition. Patch has been spending about $200,000/yr (on average) for the 890 'patches' out there including the one that has been competing here for the past two or so years. Everyone else has jumped on the bandwagon from the Chamber to communities magazine ... and others and others and others and even others that are no more (278)... that is not even mentioning facebook.
That we survive - we will complete our ninth year in business this August 1st - is not a miracle but is based on the fact that we have built a solid business that still outperforms, in terms of audience, all the local competitors combined ... and provides exceptional value to the advertiser.
The business is ongoing and paying its way and while that no doubt disappoints those who want us to crash and burn, I know that survival is not in question and prosperity is well within grasp ... as long as I don't spill too many cups of coffee on too many more $2,000 laptops turning them to toast.

Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
