I am currently looking to foster dogs of all ages.... any suggestions on how to get started??

You should probably get your dog & cat neutered first. Some of the rescues that come in may be intact and it could be an issue.

They are scheduled for Wednesday to get spayed...

look under volunteer.Those dogs are very gentle and good with kids.
