My allergies are terrible this year. I can deal with the runny nose but the throat issues are horrible. I can barely swallow and it makes me wake up at night having panic attacks. I finally broke down and bought some Claritin and it seems to help some.

How do you guys deal with the allergies?

What should I avoid? I love to go on walks, making me wonder if I should stay inside and go to the gym instead. I was tested years ago and was not allergic to anything except mold. There is alot of standing water here in MD...Time to leave.....................

I spent one week in NYC and had no allergy symptoms. I am the same as you with the throat thing. I am going to try an air purifier. Claritan gives me headaches. Good luck.

Are you finding the urge to squat and try to walk? When you take a shower does the water run off your back?

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies… America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.Senator Barack Obama

You are so odd sometimes.
But I say that in the most positive, loving and supportive means possible.

Oh no! You can't be allergic to your ducks, not allowed. Please keep me posted. I'm going to think positive and pray it's not your ducks. :)

Dallas RED, your not the only one. I have never suffered from allergies till this year. Started in December and has not stopped. Nothing is helping, please let me know if you find something that does.
There but for the grace of God, go I.

I really think it may be something they laid in more than the ducks themselves.
Maybe that got into a patch of something that I'm reacting to.

Blondie, chiggers maybe?

DallasRed, try Zyrtec instead of Claritin. It doesn't make everyone sleepy but if it does then take it at night. I have found the Zyrtec Gels to be my best defense. I've also used Nasonex Rx for many years. The Nasonex seems to decrease the swelling of the nasal sinus passages.

No not chiggers or poison ivy or oak.
More like hives.
It's clearing up now.
I may never know what triggered it.
