A nice 2009 Bethel Heights Pinot Noir with before dinner appetizers of crispy pickled beans and some cheese and crackers.
Dinner is short ribs, kabobs, salad and grilled veggies. Will use a 2009 Bodega Catena Zapata Malbec for the this.
Desert is cheese cake with blue berries.
People. Planet. Profits. In that order.

I'd kill myself, too, if I were eating fire! I kid, I know it's fries.
MrB doesn't like the name "loose meat sandwiches" so they are the "Jenilyn Special" here. LOL I must say, they ate GOOD! And MrB requests them once a week.

Here's the recipe for the "Jenilyn special", even thought I prefer loosemeat.

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 & 1/4 cup of coke or pepsi
1/2 onion, chopped
dill pickle slices
prepared mustard
hamburger buns
American cheese slices

Directions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef & onion until brown. Drain. Return to pan with salt, pepper, and coke. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, until liquid is gone, 15 to 30 minutes.
Serve meat on buns topped with cheese, dill pickle slices and mustard.

I always wrap mine in alumnium foil and stick them in the oven @350 for about 5 minutes, to steam them and melt the cheese.

Thanks, I will certainly try it. The coke is really throwing me off. I use coke with ham but never with ground beef.

Some people use chicken broth instead. I've never tried it.

Um, never make these without the Coke. Sounds strange, I know. Poor Jenilyn kept getting texts from me that first night I made them. Use Coke only, and I also wrap mine in foil (individually) for about (5-7 mins, with the fries).

COKE only.
