Gerald Smallwood, age 61, of Franklin, GA passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012. He was born on September 3, 1950 in Chamblee, GA. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had owned Smallwood Construction Company in Albany, GA before retiring. Mr. Smallwood was preceded in death by his mother, Norma June Smallwood and his brother, Paul Richard Smallwood.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Mikki Smallwood of Douglasville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie & Chad Wilson of Kennesaw, GA and Cami & Glenn Allen of Watkinsville, GA; his father, Roger W. Smallwood of Douglasville, GA; a sister, Vonda Smallwood Bulfinch of Decker, FL; his loving companion for many years, Ramona Seals of Franklin, GA; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Brother Larry Davis officiating. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements.
