Do you have insurance? If they think you have cancer, why would you put off going to an oncologist, insurance or not? Time is of the escense (sp)? Most won't turn you away for not having insurance, either.
Do you have a job? I'm guessing "yes" based on the comment of $44. However, if you make that little of money, perhaps you could get emergency Medicaid? I am not one to take a "hand out", but if it means the difference in care for a life or death situation, I'm not beyond taking it.
Good luck.

Do you have insurance?
Do you need help financially with everything or just with the doctors appointments?
Also, Have you talked to the oncologist about any payment options they have?
I know how expensive going to the oncologist can be. I wonder if they have some type of payment options to help people.

So sorry to hear of your plight. It is not good news.
This is in the community chest but I don't think the folks who do that have contacted you yet so you aren't yet in the approved category. You've been on the site for years and I've always considered you straightforward. The folks in the CC will ask some questions and verify your situation. I'd encourage you to cooperate with them because folks here, with the confidence that comes from that peek, will go to the wall for you. You know it is just the way we do things.
We're pulling for you and concerned. There is help out there and if you keep having doors slammed in your face, you stick with it and you'll have some very demanding advocates on your side.

Yes this oncologist turned me away because I couldn't meet the 45.00 copay.
Did they refuse to see you and didn't offer you any options or suggestions to help? If so, maybe another doctor would be a better choice? I don't know. Maybe someone else can offer their thoughts?

Maybe you should go to the emergency room now! That does not sound okay. I would just go to er and maybe they can help you better medically and financially. They may know of more places who could help.
I cant believe they would not see you.
I will see what I can do, but I do think you need to just go to er if you are that sick

I have never heard of that before. Does that apply to Paulding and Cobb General?

GO TO THE ER! You say you have insurace which is a good thing. You cannot be refused treatment and when you leave if you cannot pay the $150 co-pay they are not going to keep you until you can. They will have you sign a promisory note and you can make payment arrangements with the financial dept later. Don't be afraid of being admitted to the hospital. They can get you seen by the oncologist while hospitalized. Don't worry about the bills.....deal with that later. Your health TODAY is what needs to be addressed. GOOD LUCK and keep us posted. Praying for peace and answers.

We need someone trustworthy with a central location like Curtis to use as a drop off point or a paypal account.
