Funeral Services for Mr. Ray Swafford age 84 of Temple, will be held on Saturday May 19, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from the Benson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Williams and Rev. Benny Abney officiating.
Interment will follow in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Samuel Elrod, Steven Elrod, Fletcher O'connor, Tucker O'connor, Keaton Richardson, Brad Davis, Nathan Smith, Sam Elrod, Terry Richardson and Kenneth Hicks serving as Pall Bearers
The family will receive friends on Friday May 18, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday May 19, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. until the Service time at 2:00 P.M.
Mr. Swafford Owned and Operated Ray's Exxon Service Station on West Memorial Drive in Dallas for many years.
Survivors include: Wife: Mrs. Ruth Fields Swafford of Temple, Ga.
Son: Mr. & Mrs. Faron (Cindy) Swafford
Daughters: Mrs. Shona O'connor Mr. & Mrs. Terry (Delana) Richardson

My deepest sympathy to Ms Ruth, Faron and the rest of the family. I really liked Mr Ray.

Yes for years I visited their station every week to fill up my car, etc. Ray and Faron were always as nice and helpful as could be. I sure hated to see them go.
