Does anyone have any idea about this house? Looked up the address and its 414 cartersville hwy. Cant find any info about it online and heard from numerous people that this house was "haunted". If anyone is familiar with this area, it was the house beside the little house with the million windchimes. Opposite side of the graveyard and right before it, going towards cartersville. The house is no longer there though, it is now just an empty space. I noticed it was gone a few days before the tornado hit. If anyone has any info about this place... PLEASE reply. My friend and I have been up half the night trying to look this stuff up and its absolutely nowhere to be found...

I have been keeping a check on the last house on the right, going out of town, just before that cookie cutter s/d on the right. It sits uphill and has a red vehicle (bus, I think) in the yard. This has caught my eye, a few yrs ago. I would love to have it!!! Well, I'd love to have A-N-Y house on the right hand side of the road in that area, You know the big white one maybe, had some gray?? I'd be busy for the rest of my life, huh 8) !!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no no no. I wouldn't have bought that place if my life depended on it. Im not looking to buy it and for the record its not even there anymore. I wanted to know if anyone else has ever heard stories of paranormal going on inside the house. I've heard of a few scary things happening and wonder if anyone else has too.

If I am correct and I have made a few mistakes.... Lucky64's brother lived in the house. I can't remember his name on here, though.

The house was overwhelmed by that Magnolia tree and probably had so much BLECH in it that they had to tear it down. The lot is beautiful now.

Yes, that was Thoughts house! And I NEVER knew it to be haunted. I use to go there all the time and even slept over there a few times back in the 80's and nothing never happened. You might want to ask Thoughts more about it. The house was very old therefore it was taken down. Thoughts was (still considered) my step-brother. His mother was married to my father in the 90's.

Since we're talking about houses in that road, I have a question.... On the same side, 61N, just before you get to Earl Duncan Park, there is a house for sale that has a giraffe, elephant, and I think a gazelle, in the yard. They are big, the giraffe huge. Anyone know why?

I would always break my neck trying to get a glimpse of those animals as a child when passed by. They have been there for atleast 20 years, probably longer!

The tornado took off a substantial portion of the back of that house. My husband and I have always wondered what the deal with the house is.

   I lived in the house for almost 40 years and never had so much as a specter sighting. It was just an old house that made a really great halloween prop at halloween. We made mulitiple attempts to have the house restored but the financing always fell through. It finally got to the point we had to have the house torn down. The second people heard the house was being torn down we had a buyer for the property before the bulldozers even got there. I really hated to tear the house down but it takes massive amounts of time, money and effort to maintain such houses and it got more than I could afford in any of those catagories. In an even bigger twist of fate, the tornado that happened came right through the middle of the property. If I had of had the house restored, the tornado would have leveled it. Maybe Somebody was trying to tell me something...

My dad lived in that house when they first moved to Dallas back in the early 60's. I have never heard that it was haunted. It was so sad to see it torn down.

That's funny because I've heard from friends that the house had some weird stuff going on. Such as there was supposedly an attic door on the top floor that was locked and nobody could get into it no matter how much they tried. Also lights switched on/off. Footsteps, etc.

LOL! Love how people's imagination works. Nope, the attic door worked fine the last time I was there. I blieve at the time Thoughts and his brother had a friend that moved in up there. Thoughts lived there for 40 years.

It's all good, it would have made an awesome haunted house tho!

   Nope. I grew up in the house and had my room up there. There were no real rooms to speak of, only a big open area that we sectioned off into different areas. With a chimney in the center of the attic area. Sorry, spent my entire teenage exsistance in that up stairs along with many many friends who have come and gone. Later everybody from my brother to my brother in law lived in that attic, nobody ever reported any haunted spirits. After the kids were born it was nothing but storage up there. I ran a haunted house every year for over 20 years in that house. I'm not surprised about the stories. I have a lot of great memories of that house. But none of them include any ghost stories...

wow ... I didn't know the house was razed!
I remember you posting about the problems you had with the house "in essence falling down around you" & I remember the decorations for halloween. Sounds like you missed a "bullet" with the house being gone, you & family moved, before that tornado too!
oh my .....
Hopefully someone will do justice to the property.
