I am a 21 year old female who is happy, willing to learn and looking for a job. I have 3 + years of customer service experience. 1.5+ years of food service.
Many years of animal experience (from owning my own: dogs, cats, reptiles, snakes, rats, hamsters) and volunteering at the PCAC for around 4 months. (& I can't wait to start again!)
I am willing to do anything at this point, and not expecting more than minimum wage.

If you are hiring or know someone who is, let me know.

Thankyou. Dominos is hiring Drivers. I worked there for 3months but my car broke down 3/14/12 & the part is kind of hard to find, :( So it is still broken. The pay $7.25 in store, but most of the time you are driving which is $4.25 + tips. I was struggling to pay the bills while working there, but I'd give anything to have a working car and that job again!

Norfolk Southern and CSX are both hiring train crew members.
Terrible schedules and working conditions first few years.
Great benefits and pay after you gain experiance and tenure.

If you've had food, and customer service experience, you could be a Patient Liason at one of the local hospitals. www.wellstar.org.

Of course, you would have to have transportation to get there, but Paulding was hiring a while back. I don't know about now.

Good luck with your job search!

I have never heard of either of those, but I will be looking them up and dropping in some apps. Thank you.

I didn't think about that. Paulding County has a transport bus, I was going to sign up for it when I was getting my GED, but I ended up not having to. The part for my car should be here any day! Thankyou!

I would suggest you steer clear of any job that requires you to provide your own car to provide services for the company while depending on tips to operate your car.
The average cost to operate a car is almost 19 cents per mile just for gas, insurance and maintance. The average operating cost including financing and deprecation is upwards of 78 cents a mile.
Even if with your tips you break even on your out of pocket cost, it's still your problem when the car is broken down and worn out.

I agree with the Wellstar suggestion. They are staffing up now so they will be ready to staff our new hospital. Wellstar has great benefits.

I was loosing money. I won't even try to lie. Car payment + Insurance +$30 a day in gas (sometimes more) was just killing me.
Wellstar application is in.

Numerous things. There is a part that will get it running that is suppose to be here any day! (It is actually late now). The rocker shaft is warped. The radiator is bad, but I could fix that with stop leak (hopefully) until I can get the money to fix it. The fact that it isn't a common car doesn't help either. If replacing the rocker shafts don't fix it...then I don't know. It is a 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol Si. You have no idea how much I appreciate you trying to help, I was worried you didn't like me.

You have received some great leads, advice, and a kind offer to help fix your car. Wow, this thread has really shown me how eager people are to help. really heartens me this morning!

I so admire your maturity, the ability to sell yourself, your intelligence, your resorcefulness, I could go on. To have this at 21 years of age is amazing. You have at 21 what a lot of people twice your age don't have. You are going to be successful in your quest to find work and do whatever you set your mind to do.

Just had to get that out, lol. Good luck to you, though you don't need it, you will be just fine hon. :)
There but for the grace of God, go I.

It really has helped me see the better side of people. I am in college for Criminal Justice, so as much as I hate to say it... I have hard time keeping a positive look at the human race. Every once in a while I get surprise. You have no idea how much I appreciate all this advice, leads, and offers to help me out.

I have been on my own and working since I was 16. I am getting there...slowly. I dropped out of school in 10th grade, and I am working hard to make up for it now.Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot that someone has faith in me. Thank you.

when the parts come in, send me a PM and I will see what I can do.
by looking online, it does not seem that hard replace.

I think we need two new call center reps (we just had one leave after finishing nursing school and another retired.) The call center is in Marietta. If you think you can manage the trip from dallas to marietta everyday, this is a great place to start! (I love "bankers hours" :))

Good luck with your car and job search!

Seriously? I guess I was looking in the wrong place. :( The only places (one website and the dealership) I could find wanted 68-78 dollars for it, which I don't have. I ended up getting it for $25...but it is taking forever to get here. It was paid for six days ago.

Hopefully that is the case. I just have little patience at the moment. I have 2 cars, neither are very common and both are broke. Of course one was bought that way so it could be a project car, but then everything went down hill. Anyways, I will let you know as soon as it gets here.

Thankyou.

That one is Lockheed Credit Union. This one is near the Marietta square. Just past it actually. Go through the square, cross over Fairground st. and it's on your left before you reach 41.

I'll keep my eyes open as I'll be out and about this weekend.

I did see that Popeye's had a "NOW HIRING" sign out the other day .... It isn't much but it could be a start for someone :)

I had $400, I'd have to pay my car payment which is officially two months behind. XD
After I get on my feet again, I will probably shoot you a message.

I have been out of work for 2 mos .
I know it's frustrating. I have filled out over 100 applications (online).
I am also looking for a call center/customer service job.

I don't know if this will help ..
But I just took a test with
http://gaworkready.org/
My grades were good , and when I get my card in the mail ,I will be able to sign up for jobs on their board .
The tests are taken at Chatt Tech , the schedule is on their site .

Also , let me know if you ever need parts. My son gets discounts , might be able to help you get a better price.

I feel your pain !! I have been looking vigorously for 16 months -
check out CoPart and Parsec - both show opening at their call centers - and yep - I have already sent in my application -

Thank you . And I feel your pain .
I have had a few interviews. Marietta, Cedartown, Dalton,Cartersville .
I pass their computer tests, interviews go well , then I get the dreaded email that they hired someone with more qualifications .
Its scary out there

Just got my email of denial from Wellstar. :(
I do have a 'working' interview coming up with a dog kennel, I hope I do well.

Internet is due off anyday now (they already cut the cable) so if I disappear for a while, that's what happened.

Join the club. I have a boatload of them. And the bad thing is some of them are for jobs I've held in the past. The EXACT job I held in the past.

Go to www.ngoc.com web site, click on careers, check and see if you are skilled to do any of these jobs. Great place to work!!

Looks like Home Depot is hiring for their Kennesaw call center.

http://www.paulding.gov/jobs.aspx

Paulding County also has various positions open - looks like 2 at the pound.

http://www.cityofdal...employment.html

The City of Dallas has an opening for lifeguards.

http://www.cityofhiramga.gov/jobs.aspx

The City of Hiram doesn't have any openings right now, but you can use the link to sign up for email alerts for new postings. The City of Dallas and Paulding both also have email alerts you can sign up for. I hope this helps and good luck!

I have applications in with Paulding, Dallas, and Home Depot.

And every fast food joint from Dallas to Powder Springs.
Most of the 'Sit and Eat' Joints... working on completing those.

Dog Kennels, working on vet offices.... about to drop one into the Cobb County Animal Control....and check out the rest of the Cobb Government website.
I have an app in at the PSPD... The ATL Zoo... about to start going backroads and looking for small businesses and just pop in. XD It has worked in the past.

The only one I see is a floating position. Kennesaw, Paulding and most of Cobb wouldn't be a problem, but I can't go to Canton.

I have a friend that works for Wellstar. I *think* they are in a hiring freeze. Not 100% if that is still in effect, but I know it was not too long ago.

I have an Aunt and two cousins that are nurses over at Cobb, I may have to call them up and ask.
I didn't even consider that. Posted Image
