Debra Avery, age 52, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was born on October 20, 1959, in Birmingham, AL, and is the daughter of Terry Benson and Shirley Benson.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Avery of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon & Michelle Settlemoir of Cave Springs, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Brooke & Jonathan Jennings of Calhoun, GA, and Brittany Settlemoir of Rome, GA; father, Terry Benson of Truman, AK; mother, Shirley Benson of Byron, GA; brother, David Benson of the United States; sister, Dania Smith of Byron, GA; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 3 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home.
