we just recieved a code red warning for winds heavy rain and hail for Dallas area.

I'm on 61 s and it's been pouring for an hour!
Light rain now. Wish it would rain all night.
I don't know the difference, but my plants and flowers and trees just bolt after a good rain!!(as opposed to chlorinated water from the hose)

it only rained here (a hard rain) for about 3 minutes. 5 @ most. then it just stopped.
but now we have a heavy sprinkle going on.

Dallas/Hiram line on 278 and we have had a good solid rain for close to an house. A little thunder, but no house shakers.
The garden is smiling.
Of course we watered EARLY this morning, so it had to rain.
Subby brought back the repaired mower deck, so assuming we can raise it high enough, we can start mowing the 2+ acres which is knee high now......Yuck!

Not sure what happened, but it looks like lightning got one of our trees and split about a fourth of it off. We had a power blip and it could have happened then. We think it split the tree and it might have taken a couple of hours for the tree to actually fall apart onto the ground.
We didn't even hear it! Boy, talk about a surprise when we opened the door this morning to leave.

Rain gauge said we had a good half inch. The garden is happy and we can see the grass growing.
