When Ryan went to introduce the 3 ladies before their trio rather than saying "one of these ladies could be the next American Idol" he said......"one of these ladies WILL be the next American Idol." Hummmmmmmm.........?????

I had it on, but wasn't paying much attention.

You sure he said "Will"? That is strange..................

WOW.......Joshua was AMAZING!!!! He should be the next Idol in my opinion. I like Jessica but Joshua is beyond description. I also like Phillip but I expect to see Joshua and Jessica in the top two. Jessica would be a good choice for the producers because they've had so many guy winners in a row and they've never had an Asian as a winner.

I hate country music but Skylar gets my vote. She is the only one who gets out there and performs her ass off. Joshua and Jessica are really grinding on my nerves.

At this point, I'd happily say 'bye' to Joshua, Jessica or Skylar.

I like him too, though I don't think he was at his best tonight. I'm reasonably sure he'll make it through because he's cute, so I gave my redial button a workout for Hollie. <g>

I have to agree. She really is the best PERFORMER.
I do love me some Phillip Phillips though. He's from my hometown so I kind of have to.

CONSPIRACY THEORY AGAIN: Idol sets this up every year!
I don't for a minute believe that they don't "influence" if not down right ALTER the votes.
I would not be surprised to see Jessica win.
As some one else pointed out, there's not been a Hispanic winner yet.
They've had white female, black female , white male, black male, and an openly gay winner.
Time for the Hispanics to get in there.

All the winners have been talented and certainly deserved to be there, but it all seems to contrived to me.
I'm not SAYIN'...I'm just sayin'.

I believe they can set up a winner or cause a downfall by the comments they make. Sometimes it seems like the voters go against the judges just to rebel and then sometimes it seems like they dont' dare go against the judges. I just wish the judges would be quiet about their particular favorites and let America decide! I think we have enough sense to know what we like, even if the technicality of our favorites is not always right on the money.

Just got around to watching it. The duet between Joshua and Phillip was my favorite performance of the night. I rewatched it a second time and it was funny watching how they would turn to sing to the other and then catch themselves because they were singing with a guy. It was too funny. I literally laughed out loud.

I must have missed Ryan's slip because I heard him say that one of these girls "could" be the next AI, first female in five seasons or something like that. I even rewinded that part. Maybe he said it another time but I tried not to forward through anything other than the vote for sections.

I definitely have my favorites (Hollie and Phillip) but I could see any combination of the five remaining contestants in the finale. They all have amazing voices and last night was probably one of my favorite nights.

It was me who pointed out they have not had a Hispanic winner. That plus the fact guys have won the last several years it would be something the Producers are considering for sure. Jessica is talented and has been superb a couple of weeks.

And, as I often say "there is no reality in reality tv." The very first contract the contestants sign aftet the initial audition is 12 pages and has in black and white "the Producers have the right to determine the outcome of the competition." Just sayin'. ;)

I hated to see Skylar leave. I liked her and she reminded me SOOOOO much of a good friend of DS I couldn't help but like her!!

Not a country fan, but I hated to see Skylar go too.
She'll do well, and maybe even BETTER that she didn't win.
She is the best PERFORMER. Girl got skills.

Jessica has pipes, no doubt, but she doesn't have the performance skills Skylar has
Guess I'm just pulling for Phillip now since he's from my hometown.

I understand what you are saying. Skylar is more the "complete package" where Jessica has the pipes. Many of those who do not win have better careers than the winner. WHERE are Lee Dewyze or Kris Allen, David Cook, Fantasia Barrino, Taylor Hicks, etc, etc these days?????

Chris Daughtry and Kellie Pickler who were voted off Season 5 long before winner Taylor Hicks was named winner has had great careers. Last I heard Taylor was performing at the Atlanta night clubs where he had gigs prior to Idol.

And remember a little known (sarcastic icon needed) young lady voted off Season 3: JENNIFER HUDSON???? And when is the last time you heard anything from Fantasia?

The comparisons could go on and on but Skylar is going to do just fine. Getting away from Idol (and eventually Ninteen) she will have more control over her career and be able to sing the songs she is meant to sing: COUNTRY and NOT Pop or whatever.

Don't know about the others you've mentioned but Fantasia is doing EXTREMELY well, with her albums but it may be in the genres you may not listen to very much, Also, she has been doing a lot of film and Broadway work.
People. Planet. Profits. In that order.

REALLY???? WHAT films? The only Broadway work I am familiar with her doing was The Color Purple (which she was fired from). And you are right, I do not listen to her genre of music. Even if I did, I wouldn't listen to her. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion and tasstes. Like I told someone yesterday "It would be an awfully boring world if we all liked the same things." ;)
