So I was at a bank in Hiram earlier and when I pulled in the parking lot I parked next to a black truck with an occupant inside and I just assumed he was waiting for someone inside, because when I came out he was still there. So I proceed with my other errands and before coming home I stopped by gas station to get some gas, and who pulls in beside me this same truck and the same guy, and the reason I know it was the same guy is because he had long dreads. So is this a coincidence that we ended up at the same places or could he have possibly followed me? I made it a point to go a different route home, and I checked to see if he was following me, but I didnt see him following me after the gas station. Now I am paranoid. If it had been a gas station in Hiram I wouldnt think anything about it, but from Hiram over to Ridge Road. Im a little worried!!! I did jot down his tag number before pulling out of the parking lot of the gas station!!

You're paranoid. If someone was actually following you, it is doubtful you would ever know it. BTDT.

If I had posted this, it would be racial profiling. Just saying.

How? I noticed him because his dreads stood out and that's how I knew it was the same guy!! Why if you had posted it, did I ever mention his race? I said he had dreads, I know white and black people with dreads. Stop trying to make something out of nothing. Geeeeeze!!!!

Not to split nappy hairs, but you would have thrown the race card if certain others had used that descriptor.

The white ones are on Phish tour, sweets.

I had the same vehicle behind me all the way from Hiram one time. I mean every turn I made and I think I was coming from Staples or somewhere like that. I was getting a little nervous coming down Hiram Lithia Springs Road until they pulled in the left turn lane at Brownsville. At that point, I realized they just knew the same back roads that I do.

That has happened to me before too, I probably wouldnt have thought anything about it if I hadnt just left the bank. And we just happened to end up at the gas station at the same time, it was just weird!!

I don't care what color you, or anyone else is. I've just seen you thrash people on here for being "racist" and my hypocrite radar went off with your post.

If you don't want to hear what others have to offer...why the flip did you even bother to post this.

All you wanted to do was start some schit. If you didn't you would have just described the truck and something else..but you made sure to add dreads.

1. You were just paranoid.
2. I would have noticed him, too, if he had dreads - dreads generally catch my attention in a most positive way.
3. My mom has dreads. She's most definitely white, and I doubt she's ever heard of Phish.
4. Nappy hair does not equal dreads. /smh. That part may be a bit racist, actually. I can't count on one hand how many people I know personally with dreads and they're all white, and all had gorgeous, soft, silky hair before deciding to dirty it up and dread them.

This whole thread is silly, though I understand being paranoid with all the break-ins happening this week.

I'm tempted to go through my myriad of photos and show you all my nappy friends, both black and white. Since you're so familiar with the hairstyle, you should know that napping is nothing more than a term to describe the treatment resulting in dreads. It's also a dreadhead hair care line.

I love the wooks!

Knowing people who have it/do it doesn't equal being familiar with it - I think alot of people around here get the two confused.

I do know the hair care line. I also went to a majority black high school and know what those specific students used the term for, and it wasn't something that is 'done' to hair.

A word with multiple uses...whaaaaaat?

Dreads are not bad.

I do remember a topic about some women at the courthouse. The poster stated that the women had big hair dos and long, done up fake nails. Also she stated they pulled up in an SUV Caddy. Now, no race was mentioned, but 2witty, you slammed her allllllll over the place calling her a racist, etc. she never mentioned color. Just sayin'.

I'm really hesitant to post on this thread but I think this incident should not be taken lightly. A lady I know baby sits for her daughter and leaves a subdivision on 61 around 11:00 pm and drives to Hiram. One night a few weeks ago it was raining and she was on Ridge Rd. A pickup truck followed her and drove very close to her rear bumper several times. She was drving the speed limit but when she would speed up, so would the truck. She slowed down to let the truck pass but the driver would get right on her bumper. The truck finally started flashing it's lights to try to get her to stop. The road was very dark with no other cars in sight. The lady dialed 911 and the operator dispatched a deputy to meet her at Kroger. The operator stayed on the phone with her until she got there. She pulled up to the front door and got out . The truck pulled in behind her but took off when he saw she was on the phone. The deputy arrived about 2 minutes later but the truck was long gone. She could not get a tag number but she saw a man in the truck. The deputy followed her the rest of the way home. This actually happened to someone I know. Be careful on the road and try not to get into vulnerable situations, It is a crazy world.

The moon is getting full........I love me some drama.

2witty I think it was to your benefit that you observed the situation. Most people wouldn't.

Nappy Dreads or not

Me too, I never would have noticed him if it hadnt been for those dreadful dreads. LMAO. When he pulled up at the gas station, I was like dang, two dread heads in one day, then I thought hell that's the same dude in the same black truck.

It's always best to err on the side of caution. I'm always aware of my surroundings, especially now with all of the craziness going on.
There but for the grace of God, go I.

I understand you being hesitant to post anything. Im glad your friend is okay, I bet that was scary for her. Apparently me mentioning he had dreads was more important than what actually happened. But I guess my concern was that the Bank was in Hiram and I got almost home and stopped at Ridge Road and he popped up there. But as I circled around I looked straight at him, so he knew I saw him and I circled back around and got his tag number. And I didnt go my normal way home, just in case he was following me. I never saw him in my rearview mirror, I checked before pulling in my drive way. I try to be alert wheneve im out there are some nuts out there.
