You are correct. Every year the board post a list a available positions in all the schools. At that time you may request a school transfer. She may have requested a transfer, her daughter is graduating this year, so maybe the other school is closer to her house, or more convenient for her. There are several things that could have happened..

edit: I don't know her personally and I am not saying this IS what happened, just listing a possibility..

The dress code at SPHS really needs to be addressed. I see girls come out of there in really short shorts and short skirts that I know are not part of the dress code.

My daughter graduated from SPHS last year and my youngest daughter goes there now. The dress code not being followed is the only complaint I have. Everything else is perfect..

I agree. The dress code seems to be undefined.
Edited to say: I think that dress code is not definied well enough county wide. I don't think it's just a SPHS problem.

I don't see anymore of a discipilne problem at South as there are anywhere else. I think the admin does a great job with discipline. There are always other factors that go into a student's discipline...ie, prior referrals.

It is a fact the she did not request the change. She lives in the South district.

The new principal for South Paulding HIgh has been named. Dr. Keith Rowland will be going to SPHS. He is coming from NPHS as their scheduler this year and I think he was at HHS before that.

I heard Dr. Fraker was going to east on her own accord. Her daughter is graduating from South this year. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't she at East before she went to South? Anyways, East is gaining a great principal. I hope South gains one just as great as she is. My youngest sister still has 2 more years to go there, it would be a shame if they get a subpar principal.

Absolutely, positively, she did NOT request to move. Yes, she was there before going to Herschel Jones in 2004 ish.
