Good luck SP Spartans Friday night a win against Pope will seal the deal of another playoff birth. Rumor has it that since Pope has already clinched a birth in the playoffs they will not be playing their starters Friday night. This should help seal the deal. Go Spartans!!! Are any other Paulding County teams heading to the playoffs?

I wouldnt get too happy just yet, Pope's bench is good, they are even better than most teams starters. I wouldnt go into that game thinking they have it in the bag. And do you really want a win just given to you?

Candycane, just noticed a certain tone to your South Paulding posts. Whether warranted or not, not really sure this forum is called South Paulding Baseball Vent!
Go South!

No Tone, just a warning, not to get too happy about playing Pope's Bench, and automatically assuming the game is won and off to the playoffs. And if you are referring to my other post about South, it was tacky to hold a booster club meeting while the J.V team was trying to play a game. How is those ticket sales going?

I'll try again, seems your perception needs a little help. The meeting was held between the 30 min down time between the double header. Not one pitch was thrown during the meeting. Ticket sales are outstanding fyi. Why does it matter to you anyway? Sounds more like jealousy than anything else.

Nobody said anything about assuming a win at Pope either. It appears you have to change the conversations to make you sound relevant. It's not necessary. We hope East does good in playoffs to. It only helps in showing how strong 5AAAA baseball really is.

My son plays at East. I am rooting for all of the teams to do well. Isn't it about the kids? Most of the boys are friends on and off the field. Let the kids play ball and may the best team win! :yahoo:

Thank you Dana. We feel the same way. It's ok to cheer on your own team during the game but off the field, the boys are all friends. Heck, they grew up together playing ball at all the local parks. I don't understand the need of some people coming in here bashing or being negative toward another program. South was offered a chance to play at Turner Field, they felt confident their people could raise money to make it happen, and they proved it. To us, priceless memories and hard working folks paid off. Good luck in the playoffs.

I'm always for the boys. Seems your behavior loves to bring them down. Character shows. I wouldn't trade the Turner field opportunity for nothing. Try to have a great miserable day with your negative self. ;)

Awwwww, sorry but like you said, it was a great opportunity for the boys. Do not let anyone's negativity bring you or your boys down. No one can take that experience from them, ever. So sad that some would take pleasure in their loss, they're just kids.

Negative people don't. I just like to expose them for what they are. Thanks for the nice comments.

We are so proud of the Boys from the South! They had a terrific season, and we had some awesome opportunities. Each of the boys worked so hard, and they have nothing to be ashamed of.

We are also proud of our friends from East. We give them our support for the remainder of the season. We'll be at the game to cheer you on to victory! So many people from our community supported us in our accomplishments. We plan to do the same as we bring home a championship to Paulding County!
