Anyone, know where to locally source small engine parts?

Need a Poulan/Weedeater brand starter assembly and looking at at least a week to 10 days if I order it from their suggested OEM reseller. I'd like to get the part today/tomorrow, plus prefer to verify the part visually by comparing it to the old before I purchase.

Thanks.

If I need something I normally go for price and use mowparts.com a lot. It may just be one of those parts that has to come from a central warehouse somewhere.

If you have a part number also try Amazon.com. they have 2 day shipping if you are prime member.

I found out recently that Tractor Supply carries a lot of name brand small engine/mower parts. I also agree with FreeBird, I get a lot off Amazon as well.

I'll try that. Just never had to buy small engine parts before. I was able to get the old part number and use the OEM reseller to x-reference it to get the new part number so now I got a little more to work with.

lol Ordertree is their OEM reseller, and the part is cheap the shipping is not from there. I figure they ship in 55gal steel drums or something.

Just called. Closed on Wednesdays, shoot.

And yeah I'm looking at $20+ and 7-10 days shipping on a $5 part everywhere else, 'cept Amazon who has more reasonable shipping.

I'll try the tractor store later this evening, and if no dice, then I'll call Parker's back tomorrow, and if not there, Amazon it'll be.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah, that closed on Wednesdays is a bummer! ;) I guarantee it would be worth waiting till tomorrow though. They can usually have things shipped within 1-2 days, and I think you'll end up getting a better price too. We buy LOTS of parts from them on a regular basis and so far no one comes close to their prices. :)

BTW, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR MODEL NUMBER HANDY.
