I know, I really shouldn't post before coffee. Sorry, I was just trying to help. I'm gonna try to get some work done now and then I'm gonna go play with my doggie out in the yard. It's a beautiful day!

Yay! Glad they found a home. You guys are the best! I didn't know about them being invasive. My SIL has a beautiful KOI pond and the fish are so pretty. Unfortunately a crane came by to visit a while back and made dinner of a few. My big 6'1 250 pound BIL cried like a baby. They had raised these fish from babies and had names for all of them. The circle of life...
I have to add dye to the water to help them hide. I also have areas where they can go onto submerged blocks and rocks for protection.
I hope they have made safe areas for the rest of their fish.
I watched a grey heron eat a bass much bigger than himself. If I had a video of that, even after watching it, it would be hard to believe. I was so shocked at the event, I never took my eyes off it, much less thought of going to get a camera.

well it took a long time to get it leveled and involved pick axes and an entire "earth day" of BOTH OF US in that hole...which one? the back one is the one we removed from the front to make it bigger. The back one i had was leaking badly so i removed the front one and put it out back and built the creek. All the white rocks came from an old house and driveway on Ivey Gulledge back before they redid and put in new subdivision. Friend would call when they came down her drive and busted up rock to remove and we'd go at night and load my truck up. Its pretty cool and between the two i had FOUR TRUCKS of BIG white rocks to play with.

pretty...i have two barrell ones as well like your smaller one. One on front porch is about that big and the one on back patio is about to fall apart but its HUGE...got both at yard sales. The front one i bought a pump and fountain that you clip onto the side and it just trickles but the back one has a fountain. Lots of work but i enjoy them soooo much. Soon as leaves start falling i grab my nets and keep them covered so ya just have to blow most of the leaves off if they dont get too heavy and sink into the water and get wet. Keeps debris down but the actual pond nets arent cheap. Tried bird netting one year and it couldnt handle the load from the sweet gum trees at all and ripped. Spend the money and invest in the actual pond nets if ya need to cover them cause they last several years and work great.

Here are the pics of their journey and her "noodling" them out of the tote and being let into her dark water pond and also HR (LGM's daughter/my granddaughter watching the whole thing intensely. For some reason it doesnt matter WHAT i post on here i get some sort of animosity so ill be sticking to facebook for my future requests or offers of freebies from now on. Im not sure what ive DONE TO anyone on here but its the same people every time i post so i will just steer clear. For those who have been actually HELPFUL and/or encouraging towards me i thank you very much!

They are definately loving the deep water.
Oh yeah!! Maybe the pig feed the hardware store offered you, would come in handy with these two.
Think I'll call them Hoover & Eurica!!
LOL!!
Thanks again!

OMG! Ain't that the truth!!!!
I'm glad you found a place for them, and your pond is beautiful, all of them are!!
I had one at my other house, I would buy the colorful goldfish and they would get so big.
They sink to the bottom in the winter and come back up in the spring!! Until the hawk got them
VERY NICE!!

You know if we had to wait for someone else to do them for us, we wouldn't have the ponds either.
