Just the two super big ones in this picture. You will have to brind something like a tote cause the larger one is bigger than the bottom of five gallon bucket. A friend was supposed to come get them and turn them loose at lake for me LAST YEAR but now they keep flipping and flopping and knocking the fountain over. If ya want these two guys you are welcome to them. First message gets them. I dont know if they are koi or goldfish as ive purchased some of both. Pretty sure they are just the four for a dollar goldfish from pet smart cause thats what i usually get and have the best luck with.
Attached Image: th_0421121312-00.jpg The ones im talking about are the huge one on the right and the little bit smaller on the far left. Gold and white with whiskers and the other is more gold and black.
FORGET FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH....what the world needs is a FOUNTAIN OF SMART!!!!
Some people are just like slinkies....completely good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

You said, with whiskers; are they Koi fish?

You might want to check with Blondie, she has a lake.

Thanks, but no. We don't really want an invasive species in our pond.

Call the Gold Museum in Villa Rica. They have a "pond" of sorts that has the large Koi in it. They might be able to take them.

I think it's illegal, too. Besides, can you imagine all the other critters seeing the new shiny things swimming around and thinking it's yummy food!

I know, I really shouldn't post before coffee. Sorry, I was just trying to help. I'm gonna try to get some work done now and then I'm gonna go play with my doggie out in the yard. It's a beautiful day! :yahoo:

I dont know about the legalities but i dont think they are invasive..these two fish have been here about seven years or so and not once have i actually SEEN BABIES....The ones you see along with them are ones i have purchased and added over the years as well. Both of my ponds have about a dozen goldfish/koi and ive never had to "thin the heard" in fact i usually but one or two more in the spring time along with my floating plants that dont winter over. Sorry, i just thought maybe someone might like to add them to their collection if they had a bigger space to put them than a plastic formed pond.

4"-6" $59.00 3 for $150

6"-8" $79.00 3 for $200

8"-10" $150.00 3 for $375

10"-12" $199.00 3 for $500

12"-14" $300.00 3 for $750

Where are you located? I have a pretty good size Koi pond. 3 of my fish are over 2 feet long and I could house a couple more. How many of the big ones are you looking to relocate? I have to work today but I will be off work tomorrow.

im in new hope off of bobo road in Country Acres sub. Send me a message with your number and ill give ya a buzz this evening to set up time to come get them if ya want them. Yes, Postman, i do believe they are Koi, but i purchased them as "goldfish" so i guess they get mixed up in the tons of goldfish at pet smart sometimes if they are more colorful than just orange. You will definitely need a big plastic tote....the biggest one is about 16 or more inches long...the other would make it in a bucket but the two together could end up hurt flipping and flopping without a little room to sit and chill. Thank you folks. I dont care what their monetary value is...i just want them to be in a bigger place and happy. I think seven years or so for a fish is a pretty good lifespan considering what i gave for them and have enjoyed them very much.

Yay! Glad they found a home. You guys are the best! I didn't know about them being invasive. My SIL has a beautiful KOI pond and the fish are so pretty. Unfortunately a crane came by to visit a while back and made dinner of a few. My big 6'1 250 pound BIL cried like a baby. They had raised these fish from babies and had names for all of them. The circle of life...

I have to add dye to the water to help them hide. I also have areas where they can go onto submerged blocks and rocks for protection.
I hope they have made safe areas for the rest of their fish.
I watched a grey heron eat a bass much bigger than himself. If I had a video of that, even after watching it, it would be hard to believe. I was so shocked at the event, I never took my eyes off it, much less thought of going to get a camera.

Here are some of both ponds....the front fish got big enough that we dug up the front pond and put in a larger formed pond to accomodate them but ive run out of room now with the trees and the boardwalk. Some of these are of the reconstructions and some are finished pictures but here ya go! The back has a 20 foot creek that runs down into it....we buried the hose and the pump just recirculates into the pond so its pretty cool and nice to sit on swing and listen to. We also catch rain water and use to top it off when it gets low on occasion from either evaporation or objects in the creek causing a backup that makes it go up and over the edges and seep into the soil..doesnt happen often but still. Enjoy! I sure do!

I have the same formed pond. Mine didn't work out so well. We ended up building a larger rectangle pond. It sits up higher, and you can sit on the edges to watch the fish. It wasn't quite what I had in mind, but it works for now.

well it took a long time to get it leveled and involved pick axes and an entire "earth day" of BOTH OF US in that hole...which one? the back one is the one we removed from the front to make it bigger. The back one i had was leaking badly so i removed the front one and put it out back and built the creek. All the white rocks came from an old house and driveway on Ivey Gulledge back before they redid and put in new subdivision. Friend would call when they came down her drive and busted up rock to remove and we'd go at night and load my truck up. Its pretty cool and between the two i had FOUR TRUCKS of BIG white rocks to play with.

pretty...i have two barrell ones as well like your smaller one. One on front porch is about that big and the one on back patio is about to fall apart but its HUGE...got both at yard sales. The front one i bought a pump and fountain that you clip onto the side and it just trickles but the back one has a fountain. Lots of work but i enjoy them soooo much. Soon as leaves start falling i grab my nets and keep them covered so ya just have to blow most of the leaves off if they dont get too heavy and sink into the water and get wet. Keeps debris down but the actual pond nets arent cheap. Tried bird netting one year and it couldnt handle the load from the sweet gum trees at all and ripped. Spend the money and invest in the actual pond nets if ya need to cover them cause they last several years and work great.

OKAY FOKS....the fish have been moved LEGALLY thanks to KRWILLS offer to take them for her larger pond.
Here are the pics of their journey and her "noodling" them out of the tote and being let into her dark water pond and also HR (LGM's daughter/my granddaughter watching the whole thing intensely. For some reason it doesnt matter WHAT i post on here i get some sort of animosity so ill be sticking to facebook for my future requests or offers of freebies from now on. Im not sure what ive DONE TO anyone on here but its the same people every time i post so i will just steer clear. For those who have been actually HELPFUL and/or encouraging towards me i thank you very much!

They finally came up and put on a show for us yesterday.
They are definately loving the deep water.
Oh yeah!! Maybe the pig feed the hardware store offered you, would come in handy with these two.
Think I'll call them Hoover & Eurica!!
LOL!!
Thanks again!

My new waterfall, built this year. The fish are my two biggest, Will and Grace. They are each a little over 2 feet long. If you look real close you can see my third big Koi. He is not a butterfly like the other two. His name is WalMart.

mine always have...they just sink to the bottom and hang there..you dont really need to even feed them but i toss out a handful about once a week or so just in case....with the running water of the falls AND the fountain head both pumping not only does it not freeze completely its not standing water so not the mosquitoes you would think either...they eat most of them. I have had to drain one of mine once from a tadpole invastion one year and just kill them all with bleach water and let the fish chill in a barrell fountain for a couple of days while the pond readjusted back to normal conditions and the water had been treated with conditioner and all....as long as you dont get roots punching holes in the pond plastic forms making them leak they are very enjoyable...just a good bit of maintenance and work but well worth it to me at least.

OMG! Ain't that the truth!!!!

I'm glad you found a place for them, and your pond is beautiful, all of them are!!

I had one at my other house, I would buy the colorful goldfish and they would get so big.

They sink to the bottom in the winter and come back up in the spring!! Until the hawk got them

VERY NICE!!

i have a hawk cicling round here cause of the fish ponds and also the chickens but nobody has disappeared yet..lol. I name my fish after candy bars and snack foods so i dont get too attached to them, but they are still hanging in there and no possums have snatched any yet this year either...very odd cause in spring i usually find piece of them and have to set traps and turn the possums out far away in the woods then replace a few of the chickens. RIght now im getting about seven to nine eggs A DAY and the ponds look just wonderful...all the lillies have buds and the big pink and white lillies smell up the whole back yard once they start blooming. I guess there is a total of about sixty lillies planted all down the creek bed that all bloom at once and its just a georgeous site and so calming from my hammock or my giant back yard swing with arch....when i could see worth a darn i could read for hours and end up burned...Ill have to take my camera cause im leaving friday to do a pond for a friend and she has a naked yard so itll be pretty and something to add character to her place once i get done. Other than having to fight with sting algae and the occasional having to clean filters three and four times a week during pollen season they are great fun to have!

That sounds sooooo nice and relaxing.

We have fountains, but I'm trying to get my husband to put in a water wheel on the lake   That's exactly what he did!
