It sounds like a good sale but I'm not feeling well and don't plan on going. For those who do I'd like to hear about what you buy so post after you get home with your finds. :)

Here's another thread about the sale from a couple of weeks ago:

I went and did well! For the life of me I cannot remember what I got but they didn't charge me enough. Seriously. So, I went back up and paid them what I actually owed them. Those are the nicest people and I look forward to this next year! Do they do a fall one?

Wasn't it great? And it was nice to see you!

They only do it once a year, in the spring. I love it! And even more so this year, since I have a new yard to fill! ;)

To Everyone who came out today to participate in the Paulding Co. Master Gardeners Plant Sale!!!

Thanks so very much for helping to make this sale such a great success. We met so many wonderful people, shared tons of stories (and we did sell a few plants, too!).

This sale is for the county as well as for the Master Gardeners' program. We welcome your participation, comments, etc. to make next year's sale even more of a success!

To those who did come out - we offer a world of thanks and appreciate any feedback you can provide. We're here for you - and even though the plant sale is over for 2012, the Paulding Co. Extension Service is available to answer your questions as they may arise.

Hope to see you (AND MORE) next year!

I guess I'm really tired - I forgot to give specific mention to The Palm Guy (of Dallas) and The Garden Artist (of Acworth) for their participation. They had some fantastic plants and offered invaluable information, too! Hopefully they'll be back next year!

It took two wheelbarrows to carry all I bought out to my car.

Among the things I brought home:

2 Hostas
1 white Rose of Sharon (I have lavender, but no white!)
1 Confederate Rose
1 Black Elephant Ear
1 Garden Mum
1 flowering cherry tree
1 Chocolate mint
1 Peppermint
1 purple basil
1 brown-eyed Susan
1 Gardenia
1 Beauty Berry

Uhm...there were three more plants...I can't remember what they are right now! I spent some time this afternoon setting them up in my greenhouse and making sure everyone was watered and happy. It will still be a few weeks before I can plant them in my new yard, but I want to thank the Master Gardeners for having such a great sale!

I'll be back next year! :)

Darn KRM - I missed you again! Am I ever going to get to meet you? :)

I loved the Master Gardener's sale! I bought the chocolate mint herbs, rosemary, sage, etc. plus several butterly bushes, and Jacob's ladder. The prices and quality were incredibile!

I went with KRM and thought it was really a nice event. The plants all looked great and the prices were very reasonable. The people running the event were also very friendly and knowledgeable. It was great.

I got two shade plants for use in the landscaped area of the garden pasture and two herb plants for the garden itself.

The soaker hose is working out really well. My garden looks great!

I missed you too rockysmom? :( They did have some really good plants - they were packed when I was there with very little parking left so I guess it was a great day for the Master Gardeners!

I know. I saw and visited with Tabbycat there but only stayed about 45 minutes. Then we went to IHOP.

I am so unobservant Tabby - so you were there too and I missed you? :(

I think I would have recognized you from your beautiful wedding pictures you posted here when your daughter got married. Did you enjoy the sale?

I found it at http://www.dcdirt.org/events.htm:

The Douglas County Master Gardeners will have their annual plant sale Saturday, May 5th, from 8:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. There will be a large variety of perennials, shrubs, annuals, herbs, and vegetables--many ‘old favorites’ and some ‘hard to find’ plants. Proceeds benefit a variety of causes throughout Douglas County including the group’s garden for ‘Feed the Hungry’. The sale will be at the Master Gardener’s greenhouse located adjacent to the Woodie Fite Senior Center at 8750 Dorris Road in Douglasville.

Oh, wow! I really wanted to come to this, but I was taking my children to their activities during the whole time of the sale. I'm glad it was a success!

I noticed that Douglas County has annual contests for heaviest tomato and best home vegetable garden. Does Paulding County have any gardening contests?
