Ms. Elaine Frances Bernard, age 66 of Dallas, GA passed awayon Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.



Ms. Bernard was born on November 20, 1945 in Washington, PAthe daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Desmond and the late Mrs. Beatrice RodgersDesmond. Ms. Bernard was a member of theAmerican Kennel club and was a champion dog breeder. She enjoyed her dogs as well as gardening andthrift store shopping. She was of theChristian faith. Ms. Bernard is precededin death by her husband, Paul Bernard, Sr. in 2004.



Ms. Bernard is survived by son, Mr. Paul (Autumn) Bernard,Washington, PA; three daughters, Mrs. Denise (Daniel) Lutz, McDonald, PA, Ms.Patti Lynn Petrone, Lexington, KY, and Ms. Mary Ann Blackhurst, Ft. Myers, FL;six grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; step-son, Mr. Gary (Tammy) Gilbert,Jr., Leesburg, GA; special companion of 31 years, Mr. Gary L. Gilbert, Sr.,Dallas, GA; two sisters, Ms. Pam Desmond, Claysville, PA and Ms. Sally Desmond,Washington, PA; two brothers, Mr. Sam Desmond and Mr. Mike Desmond, Claysville,PA and several nieces and nephews.



A gathering and memorial service will be held on Saturday,April 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Ms. Bernard's home, 147 Jack Weldon Dr., Dallas,GA 30157. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations my be made to help offset cost of services to Mrs. Denise Lutz, c/o New Life in Christ Church, 600 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
