What is the mileage? Is it a manual?

What is the KBB or Edmunds value for this car based on condition and miles? What are the miles and what features does it have? TIA.

Or maybe the actual value of the car he doesn't want to post? I am sure his DD could reach him at the same number to ask so she could post?

He said best offer.

I'd suggest you test drive it and see how it runs.

I think the idea is that if you "new head with all new valves, new water pump and timming belt, new rings and rod bearings" you've done probably $1000 worth of rebuilds on the engine.

If the soft stuff (upholstery) is clean and the body, suspension solid, it doesn't make much difference if there is 180,000 or 220,000 on the clock.

And he values it at $4,000.

If it had about 180,000 miles and was certifiably clean and drove out real nice, it would have a high retail of $2800 on Edmunds. KBB is typically higher and if two people were willing to give $2800, then one might need to go to $2850 or $2900 to seal the deal.

I'm sure, BTW, if you offered $5000 for the car, he'd take it.

And, you got to know from his standpoint, the car was worth $2800 before he put the $1000 of repairs in it and, as a buyer, you got to figure its better than 50-50 that the car you'll buy for that will need that $1000 soon after you buy it. Maybe it wouldn't be that soon with this one just having had the repairs.

I spoke with him earlier this week and he said it had 213,000 miles on it.

Hello, to anwser some of these questions the car is an automatic with 213,000 miles on it. kbb say the value of the car is between $2765.00 up to $3765.00. the reason i'm asking on the top side is because i have spent around $1500.00 on the rebuild and new windshield, distributer, new rotors and pads on the front, i've also installed a new cat. so mechanically the car is perfect. if you have any more questions please call me at 404-444-0289 and mr perry mason my daughter was just trying to help and i feel your smart a$$ comment was uncalled for, or maybe i'm wrong, maybe you don't have a phone to call yourself

JohnBoy... Agreed your original posting gave plenty of information so that an interested person could call you and carry on an intelligent conversation.
