I emptied about 50 out of my front porch trap yesterday. That was a week's worth. Had 1 angry wasp as well....or what was left of an angry wasp. We noticed him in there a few days ago as he was stinging the crap out of the bees.

They do. Pip's got some pics on here somewhere that shows the bees in the bottle.

We were laughing today when some traps were picked up. Hanging in the eve of the garage, they ALL had bees in them and those picking them up were wary about putting the traps with live bees in them in their cars.

They do work......for sure.

Still have some left. I am assuming we have saturated the paulding.com marketplace ?

We watch them go in the holes whilst sitting on the porch in the late afternoon, and everyone claps when they fall through the hole a couple of seconds later.

I dumped more than 50 out of a trap yesterday, and that was a weeks worth.Posted Image

I did a Craigs List Post on the traps, referencing NW Georgia.

Anyone with suggestions as to what categories other than Farm & Garden I should list them under ?

It is under DallasBeeTraps@aol.com

Surepip, It was so nice to meet you and your wife, the bee traps are working like a charm. You have a nice place hidden back there.

Dee,
Thanks! We enjoyed meeting y'all as well. Glad the traps are catching the bees.

It came through as a comment on my profile, but I sent you a pm back. You should be able to open it in your message folder and reply.

I will put your name on 1.

The first couple of traps I built, I painted. Since then I have been leaving the wood natural and we have found the natural woods does a much better job of attracting the bees. With 2 side by side, the painted one had 2-3 bees while the natural wood trap had 20+.

And on our house they do much better on the East side than the West. Go figure.

I have an inventory of traps built up finally. Several "orders" were abandoned when it cooled off and the bees went back into hibernation.

I predict though, by Friday afternoon they will be back with a vengeance!!!

Will you still have one this weekend for me?

I saw some of these traps at Wallace's BBQ last week, we were all shocked how many bees those things had collected...

I have one with your name on it.

For those who think the boring bees are done, just wait till Friday. When we hit 80 again they will be back......big time.

My Carpenter Bee Traps are now available at the New Hope and Seven Hills Ace Hardware stores for anyone interested.

I enjoy building them, but the yard, house, and garden tours were getting to be a little bit more demanding than we could handle.

I will still be building these and will help with any questions, but any potential customers for these need to contact one of the Ace Hardware Stores to buy them.

I will go to the New Hope location today to get mine.
I already started seeing the bees again yesterday.
Thanks!
