OK, animal lovers, we have a call for volunteers. Petiquette Academy is partnering with Evergreen Magnolia Commons, New Hope Animal Hospital, and Tender Loving Pet Grooming to put on an adoption fair this saturday. The adoptable pets were scheduled to be provided by the Paulding County Animal Shelter. Due to an outbreak of the parvovirus at P.C.A.S. we can't offer their animals for adoption. We have arranged to help the surrounding counties by offering their sheltered pets for adoption. We need volunteers who can assist with transporting the animals in crates from those facilities, coordinate the completion of their county specific adoption forms, and assist with the event. The event will be at 150 Cleburne PKWY, Hiram, GA from 11am-3pm. Please call us at (770)334-7760 if you woudl like to be invloved. Thanks!

If I had my car, I would defiantly help! I haven't even been able to volunteer since last Nov due to constant issues with the car. I had planned on starting back in March, but it bent a rod. :( I will spread the word though. I may have some people willing to help you out a little.

there was another Parvo outbreak at paulding?

EDIT:
copying and pasting your EXACT post on my FB page.

Thank you very much for sharing this on your FB page and spreading the word! I'm sorry to hear about your car. I feel your pain, we lost our transmission Easter morning.

I haven't personally spoken with PCAS, but the lady who is coordinating this event was contacted yesterday morning and told about the parvo outbreak. It's a really sad thing, lot's of great dogs will be put down over it.

With the event already planned and merchants and volunteers scheduled to attend, we decided it was better to go ahead with the plan and help dogs and cats in other shelters. The problem is it adds quite a bit to the logistics. We are desperately in need of volunteers. We haven't had a single response to our recruiting efforts. Just one person with a truck or van willing to transport some pets would make all the difference! Thank you so much!

We have soccer on Saturday morning so I can't help, but give me the details on the adoption fair and we can plan to stop by.

Carroll County for sure and possibly Douglas County. We have left messages but haven't had any replies from Cherokee County or Cobb County. Any rescue organization is also welcome if you know of any who'd like to attend. We've contacted many of them and aren't sure which ones will show.

3 dogs and 2 cats were granted last chance pardons and found a family! Thanks a million to everyone for helping spread the word, serving as "critter gitters" and driving across town with us, walking watering and playing with our guests, and making new friends! Y'all were awesome!
