we live down a dirt road and it WAS very quite until our new neighbors moved in. They have three 4 wheelers and start riding at 9am and don't shut down until dark thirty.. I am sick and tired of hearing it ALL day. Is there anything I can do? Their front yard has been turned into a dust bowl.. UGH

So sorry you are having to deal with that, I don't know why people can't be considerate of others. I hope you can have some peace soon. Hopefully with school starting tomorrow you want have to hear it all day, but I know you probably dread the weekends.

You won't get them on the noise. That ordinance starts at 10 pm....BUT,it is against the law to ride them on the public road.

They aren't really driving on the road, but in their yard. The dad rides more than the kids :(

If they are staying on their property, nothing you or the law can do.

It's about respect, and they have shown they have none.

Even if they are driving on the road nothing will be done. We called because we were afraid for the young boy riding barefoot going through stop signs and on a main rd. We were told that we do live in Paulding county.... Ok well when the kid dies I will remind you of that.

Sorry but that's why people move to Paulding county. Once they get out here they think it's a free for all.

That's the main reason that people move to those restricted subdivisions, cause they are protected from this kind of stuff.

I feel your pain, people who move out to my area, i.e. renters, feel like its no holds barred! Especially, when it comes to dogs. :fool: .

Sorry. I feel your pain. When ds got a little motorcycle that we thought was loud we would only allow him to ride for about 30 minutes in a day due to the noise. Figured others were out running their pressure washers and leaf blowers anyway. I was a nervous wreck...because of the noise! Luckily it was so hard to crank he got tired of trying. Cannot stand when people are oblivious to those around them.

Oh come on....me and my kids ride fourwheelers. Give them a break! Are they loud with the racing mufflers or two strokes?

They are riding in their yard. What does the dad riding more than the kids have anything to do with this? Sounds to me like you have a problem with them in general.. What exactly are they doing wrong? What do you want the Marshall to do, tell them to stop playing in their own yard? More people should get out and spend time with their kids and get out from behind the computer screens!

:clapping: :clapping: For Real.....I have rode three wheelers and four wheelers all my life. My son has had one since he could reach the foot pegs which was 3 years old. Give them a break and let them enjoy being a kid.

Before 10? Be glad you don't live in my hood. And yes, if you had a neighbor who did this to the point she is talking about, I'll bet you would be addressing it.

I this.k you should give folks who cut their grass a little more slack in the morning. I very rarely start before 0830 or 0900. I think that since most folks jobs start by then it should be acceptable. I would have to check the county noise ordinance but I believe it is almost the same.

Please remember (whenever possible) to be considerate of your neighbors who work 2nd or 3rd shift. They may be first responders or hospital personnel who are awake all night saving lives. Ear plugs can only work so well, usually up to 33 decibels, before sounds break through them and some people are more sensitive to noise than others. :)
