I was just listening to this song, and was inspired.

Broaden it to full screen, it has a few beautiful Spring pictures on it. Posted Image

"The rich alone use imported articles, and on these alone the whole taxes of the General Government are levied. ... Our revenues liberated by the discharge of the public debt, and its surplus applied to canals, roads, schools, etc., the farmer will see his government supported, his children educated, and the face of his country made a paradise by the contributions of the rich alone, without his being called on to spend a cent from his earnings." ~ The Chief Author of our Declaration of Independence

Here is another song that has just inspired me to share it.

I remember my first love so dearly. It seems so special to me and she's gone forever. But, I remember her.

I grew up listening to Slim Whitman b/c my parents loved him and played his music very often. Great music.

First loves are like no other. Bitter sweet to remember... :cray: .

Thank you! That was probably the first Slim song I ever learned all the words to. I remember playing the LP over and over.

You always do! Nah, I've told him all sorts of good things about you. You know, the two of you would agree on so much...even politics. Makes for some lively conversations between the 2 of us here :) . He grew up EXTREMELY poor...no father figure and even lived in an orphanage and a car(as a child) for awhile. He has been very successful as an adult and a father and has a very personal take on the growing up in the US poor and without healhcare and parents who can/will help, etc. He has a lot of conviction on anything pertaining to that. Listening to his childhood stories from him and his Mother and siblings has given me angles on life that I never had before which is why it's good to LISTEN to others views. You two could TALK!

I am just so happy for you, young lady! I love stories like that, also.

I have listened to so many beautiful love stories, from the extensive amount of women in my family, that I have never had to read a love story, from an author I don't know. Some of the women in my extended family should have been authors, because they tell love stories straight from the heart.

I have been one big love story, myself. I have had my heart broken so many times it fells like Humpty Dumpty was in my chest.

I appreciate your husband for adapting you as his wife, AGG! It's so wonderful to know that.

Let me call you Sueetheart, some more.

I love that. I have noticed for years now that men, like you, who have a lot of family that are women are more sensitive to the needs of THEIR wives.

I know you have been through so much and have lost loves to death even more than once. Dont you love the fact though that love is so powerful it can bring anyone to their knees or make them soar above everything? It can do whatever is needed.

I think you and I should write a book!......................:pardon: :yahoo: :drinks:

I still know my first love, AGG! I am afraid, now, to get around her, because I don't trust myself, and she understands that. My sister told me that my first love was trying to contact me to see if I was married, because her husband had died. I did call her on the number my sister gave me. I told her that I could not do anything to cause suspicion, because I would not hurt my wife for anything in the world.

I did tell her that nothing has changed, in my heart, except maybe that remembering is sometimes as strong as being together again.

I need stop before I start crying, AGG! A man is not supposed to cry.

I also like cooler weather because my air conditioner doesn't run as much.

I have gotten so used to it, in the summertime, I have to fiddle with it all the time.
