Does anyone know who currently has the best prices for really big bags (25lbs. or larger) of sunflowers seeds for the birds? At one time Tractor Supply had good prices but they are somewhat out of the way so I haven't been there lately to check. Also, I remember someone mentioned buying them at Elrod's. Does anyone know how much they are there?

I just checked online and saw that the price is $26.99 for 40lb bags in the store at TSC Tractor Supply. However, I was disappointed to see that the recent reviews were one star and talked about decreasing quality and a lot of debris in the bags:

Have you tried Wal-Mart? They should have some that size, I'm thinkin'...

Thanks. They used to have 40lbs or 50 lbs. at one time. Today I checked at Walmart in Douglasville and the largest was 20lbs for $16.97. I got a 14lb bag of Pennington Ultra Nut & Fruit Blend which is a blend of different nuts plus dried cherries and raisins (looks similar to people trail mix). It was $18.97. I like to mix something like that into the regular sunflower seeds. I can use the 40lb or 50lb bags because we have a lot of birds we feed.
