Being a non-wave-making conformist puts people in a position of having to maintain secrecy.

I am looking to purchase a book which is written by Mimi Alfred.

Here are some details.

"The author of "Once Upon a Secret," Mimi Alford, had an affair with President John F. Kennedy before she was old enough to vote. Having kept this story under wraps for almost 50 years, Ms. Alford now sets off a firestorm of gossip about its sordid details."

I am interested in this book because I like to hear the secrets that people do not talk about. Even the things I talk about on P.com need to be kept secret, according to many of my opponents. I like to make these kind of waves. Posted Image

Men and women keep secrets. We cannot blame it on one gender. In my opinion it is not nice to keep secrets, but there are some secrets that I keep. Nobody is perfect; not even me!

The less ethical something is, the more we like to keep it a secret. But, if we tell people how unethical we actually are, we would be loving our neighbor like the man called Jesus has suggested.

Some of us don't mind sharing secrets that we know about someone else. But, we don't want people to know the same thing about us. And, as human beings we are a lot alike. Posted Image

"The rich alone use imported articles, and on these alone the whole taxes of the General Government are levied. ... Our revenues liberated by the discharge of the public debt, and its surplus applied to canals, roads, schools, etc., the farmer will see his government supported, his children educated, and the face of his country made a paradise by the contributions of the rich alone, without his being called on to spend a cent from his earnings." ~ The Chief Author of our Declaration of Independence

An unkind and insensitive experience, which you feel should be kept a secret, still has a powerful influence on your life. It may even eat at you soul. Your reaction to the experience of unkindness, and insensitivity, can lead to a secret that pulls you away from who you really are, or from who you once knew that you were.

The results are that you begin to ignore who and what you are, what you want out of your life, and what you need. You are training yourself to just take it; you don't have to like it. Just take it. Posted Image

You may be one of the people who doesn't just take it, and who does stand up, speak out, and talk back.

If that is the case you are highly respected, especially by me.

But, if you happen to be a non-wave-making conformist you need to get your paddle out and start making waves.

Nobody knows you, outside of family and friends. and, they may no you as a keep it to yourself kind of person. Don't be doing that, if you are. Open up. If something is not right get it out in the open. Do it in such a way that the other customers, or co workers, stop what they are doing to see how you handle it. Posted Image

Hearing the story as it is taking place is good, because it is happening right then. You don't have to hear just one side like you might hear latter. Hearing only one side of the story leaves something to be desired, in my book. But, if you hear neither side of the story you are either comatose or dead.

I like to hear both sides of the story so I can weigh out my feelings about what happened.

I have often wondered why people want to play dead like an o'possum, when they hear a story that may not be what they consider happy. I believe people who hide from facts actually do want the truth to be kept a secret.

I know more about women than I do men, because of the dating thing. I have never spent much time out with the boys, and have always been surrounded by women, I had two sisters growing up, and no brothers. All my cousins were girls. I guess it just came natural for me.

Anyway, I know some women who have allowed me to know some terrible secrets. Some of the things they told me seemed to be unbelievable, but I had no reason not to believe them.

If you can pull up this link, please do so!
