I've always been curious about the little Mexican restaurant next to the Chevron on the corner of 92 & Dallas Acworth hwy. I believe it's called Los Magueys? or as I like to call it "lost my guys". I never hear anything about it but it's been there a long time so I figured maybe it's good? Anyone?

it's ALWAYS crowded on Wednesdays because of .50 tacos.. I've not eaten there though.

While I'm not a bimbo, nor do I live in Bentwater, my husband and I go there and really enjoy it. The service is good, they have a decent variety and good specials.

It is okay. I haven't had bad food but I haven't had food that knocks my socks off either.

Thanks everyone, I can't stomach another meal at Labamba, and I get tired of driving to Hiram for mexican. New Hope needs a Mexican resturant. :ninja: I noticed that there are no "for lease signs" in the old Beef O Brady's windows anymore. not sure if that means anything or not. Maybe a new resturant? Or maybe the signs fell down.

I've never been there, but they seem to have no shortage of customers. I like La Bamba. Much better than La Parrilla, anyway. Also, I am not a Bentwater Bimbo. ;)

I wish there was a mexican place around here that had mole sauce. I think it may be quite involved to make. Bandidos had it when they were open in downtown Dallas.

This was in the Dallas-Hiram Patch newspaper

New Restaurant Coming to New Hope

The Paradise Shoppes of New Hope will welcome a Mexican restaurant in about two months.

Last month, our weekly Fill in the Blank feature took a look at the Dallas shopping center known as the Paradise Shoppes of New Hope, which had five vacant storefronts at the time.

That number will soon drop to four as a new restaurant comes to town. Ryan Holzer, vice president of Atlanta-based Skyline Seven Properties, which is offering the retail space for lease, told Dallas-Hiram Patch on Friday that a Mexican restaurant known as Totopos will move into a 3,570-square-foot retail space that was formerly a Beef O’Brady’s.

Holzer says this is the first Totopos but the owners operate other Mexican restaurants. This restaurant, he says, is slated to open in about 60 days.

I agree. La Bamba is the best. They give you plenty of food and salsa for takeout too.
