Michael David Morris, 48, of Marietta passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Allen Richburg officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens. A reception will follow at 2:00p.m. in Oaks Hall at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Morris served as a Consultant on the Advisory Board of Kennesaw State University. He was a GIS specialist at GDOT, Vice President of the Essex Park Homeowner Board, and was a current Coach for the Hillgrove Lacrosse Junior Hawks. He was a member of McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church where he served as an Impact Soccer Coach and Upward Basketball Coach. He is survived by his wife, Beth Morris of Marietta; Parents, Oliver and Barbara Morris of Dallas, GA; Children, Katia Morris of Hiram, Sarah Morris of Marietta and David Morris of Marietta; Brothers, Mark (Heather) Morris of Columbia, S.C. and Matthew (Claire) Morris of Woodstock, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd. Marietta, GA 30064. Went to school with Mark, and knew Michael well. Prayers to this family, especially his daughter. She has lost her step-father, and now her dad all within the last year.
