We are looking to hire 1 or 2 men. We would prefer some experience, but would consider training one man who was a quick learner. We are looking for someone who has common sense, no criminal background, speaks English and is a citizen, strong and not afraid to get dirty and do hard work. I also want someone who takes direction well, no drugs, no drinking on the job or showing up with alchol on their breath.
Salary will be according to experience, and ability. Having your own tools is a plus, and you must have your own transportation.
Please call Charli at 770-577-2409

Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it Just pee on it and walk away.

We've hired someone, and have the names of 3 others who could run a crew. No, we don't just hire men, but we were looking for a helper 1st-must be strong and not afraid of heights so that they can carry packs of shingles or lumber up a ladder 2 or 3 stories while holding their tools. Any woman filling that description is welcome to apply.
Seems like some are just looking for a chance to make drama!!!

No drama, but honest. You need to be very careful with wording like that no matter where you advertise. I own a trucking company. I have ran most of our routes. One of our routes delivers and picks up well over 1000 packages a day. They are anything from small items to those over 100 lbs. It is a big straight truck route. Guess what sex I am? Yes, I did this job for several years as a woman! Be careful or get a good lawyer on retainer!

IF I as a business owner only wanted to hire men, that should be my right.
Not saying that this company does this BUT as a business owner I should be able to choose who I want working for my company.
Vent over, carry on.

That is really scarey. Everyone should be given equal access and no one not hired because of employer bias. It is the law.

It is the law, correct.
I just don't think that it is right.
A business owner should be able to decide who they want working for them.
JMHO.

looks like the person we hired isn't working out-to much drama in his life. Still looking
imagine that, you found someone that:
"has common sense, no criminal background, speaks English and is a citizen, strong and not afraid to get dirty and do hard work. I also want someone who takes direction well, no drugs, no drinking on the job or showing up with alchol on their breath."
---- and they still brought too much baggage with them to work.
just a little sarcasm...

Yes, you try your hardest ot forsee the downfalls, but can't cover it all. You learn from each employee. It was a shame-he was a nice person, and had some knowledge of the business. Maybe i should add-responsible and mature.

Just a question-what if you don't want your husband working alone with a woman? This wasn't the case, but what if? You wouldn't have the right to make that decision? What about a bar that caters to women - could they hire young men to wait tables? Come to think of it, I've never seen a man in orange Hooters shorts or pole dancing! Do I have the right to sue them?

it has already been done in 2009 ---
"A Texas man has reportedly settled a class action lawsuit against Hooters for refusing to hire men as food servers."
"Nikolai Grushevski filed a complaint against Hooters of America in January alleging its Corpus Christi franchisee would not hire him as a waiter because the position was being limited to females by an employer "who merely wishes to exploit female sexuality as a marketing tool to attract customers and insure profitability."
