I use Family Savings Credit Union, and they have Visa backed Debit cards. I've yet to run into anywhere that I have to use an ATM, unless it's cash only.
Also, you can do 'banking' at any credit union that's a part of the Georgia system (and there's one close to both West Ga, and across the street from KSU, if your son goes to either of those).

Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it Just pee on it and walk away.

Stop using the ATM card.
I got rid of mine during my sophomore year of college at Emory. 20 years later and I still have no need for one.
Two 20's, a credit card (with automated payment), and a visit to the student credit union every once in a blue moon is all he will ever need.
Good luck!
