Josh, Thanks for your apology I will pass it on to the dogs owner. Animal control never flipped the dog so they did not see the other shots. The dogs owner was advised to take pics since she will be going to court and I personally photographed the dead dog. There were 5 bullet holes, 3 to the belly and 2 to the head.(The head shot could have been thru and thru it was difficult to tell. I never posted on here to call anyone out or anyones past or past relationships out. I posted because our neighborhood witnessed a horrible tragedy. We spent the morning burying a dead dog and comforting crying kids. I wish you had handled it differently my kids can't unsee what they saw. They saw Katanna lying midway in your yard dead and they saw her bloody body as we carried her out. I hope our neighborhood can move past this, right now the kids are scared to death of you. Other neighbors with dogs are scared of you, the people in the culdesac have talked about a petition. Katanna belonged to a 4 year old who every day since she was shot has told me Katana is in the hole. This is just an example of how one choice can affect multitudes. I believe you were afraid of her because of the breed, I wish you had chosen another option in how to deal with it. Like I said I am glad you apologized and I hope you can personally apologize to the owner or at least send a letter. Hopefully time will heal all wounds and the kids will not think about this all the time. My kids have always enjoyed playing with yours and it is sad for the kids. Without sounding petty if you could please slow down when entering and leaving the neighborhood. There are lots of kids who play and ride bikes. Thank you everyone for your concern and sympathys I appreciate it. To the person with the missing fish raccoons love fish ponds. I would like the moderaters to now close this topic as it was never my intention to call someone out personally.
I wish the dog's owner would have chosen to be responsible for their dog's safety. I wish the owner's would have chosen to use a leash for their vicious breed dog. I would not be afraid of this man, hell I would buy a house next door to his! At least I know, my kids could play in the yard I PAY for, without being scared of the neighbors dog.
And, before you all jump...I own a vicious breed, guess what!?!?!?!?! She never goes in the front yard without a leash! Why? Because it is my responsibilty to make sure MY dog stays on MY property! You can bet your life if any animal enters my yards and charges my kids, I will fill it full of lead...no matter what breed!
