Help
Nothing appears out of whack. So we try again. NADA. No fire / no fuel symptoms. So I push it out to the garage. Check the plug, looks good. But as I am playing with the plug wire I see amother cable has fallen free. WTH is that? Better yet, Where does it go. So I'm looking around but can't find the spot for it.Let's go the other way. So I see it goes to the thumb throttle. Ok that narrows it down a little. So I find the spot on the top side of the carc under the seat. Let's just put it back in. Mind you this is not your ordinary throttle attachment. It is basically a cylinder that goes into the carb with a spring and a cable. Back on, good. I reaaly have no idea how that thing works because I have never seen anything like it. So I start it up. VRROOOOOM... BYE!! I wasn't even on it yet and it was GONE! As in full throttle gone. I still have a hold of it and grab the brake. No effect! I'm still holding on... Barely... running next to it and manage to hit the kill switch. Well it was a good thing that I didn't let Dis jr. start it. I'd still be chasing him with him hooting and hollering the whole way.
Take it apart put it back together 3 TIMES with the same results. Check the thumb throttle, it's fine. WTH?!? So being the typicl guy, I say, let's just see if it will reset itself while running. I set everything, steel myself for the take off and hit start. As predicted, off we go. Hand brakes are useless and I am heading right across the street to my neighbors garage! So I manage to hit kill again and avoid his BMW's. Take it apart again. Examine all parts. I feel around to see if there are anykind of "guides" that determine the proper alignment. Nada. Put it back together. this time it seems to have gone in a little further. Start it up... Flawless. I still have no clue what I did different that time but it works fine now. That is like 2 videos I could have won money from had I been filming in the last week. I really need to get that camera out next time.
